  • Reading the 3rd trade paperback graphic novel of the comic book series MIND THE GAP, which is a fascinating story about a comatose woman who is borderllne death and can enter the bodies of other near death patients to send messages.

    I really struggled with this one, it seemed to have non of the magic of the lotr or hobbit....how you finding it?

    I'm starting And the mountains echoed (I think that's what it's called, by guy who wrote kite runner)

    have read some other books mentioned in this thread: The Help, The kite runner, London and The Heretic's daughter - all books I enjoyed.

    am currently reading Hanna's Daughters - a family saga about 3 generations of women in rural Sweden.

    Just finished The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand last week, now halfway through Mansfield Park by Jane Austen.

    Not sure what I'll read next; likely just finish up the other two Jane Austen books that I have left.

    have read all but the most recent Amy Tan (started it, though). They are ALL excellent (that I've read all the way through) except Saving Fish from Drowning. DO NOT read that. It's awful. And she's one of my favorites, so if I didn't like it ...
