    When I was younger I always said I could never be with someone in the military/police/fire department, etc.

    That went well. :indifferent:



    Now if I were going to list absolute deal breakers it'd be things like no sense of humor or no compassion.

    Someone who isn't honest or is abusive.

    As for the teeth thing, not everyone can afford dental. Sometimes genetics comes into play which sucks even more. But if they are taking care of themselves and just have that sort of bad luck, I wouldn't say that's deal breaker.

    Yeah same here, I couldn't date someone who's parents couldn't afford braces as a child, I mean they are obviously out of my social class!

    I cannot look over idiotic rude people. They aren't out of your social class you just don't have class at all. There is nothing wrong with having a preference but you don't have treat people like their beneath you. You're beneath them even with their bad teeth.

    If they don't work, they need to contribute in some way - housework, pension, retirement, etc.

    Braces arent too bad, but I say go big or go home. Go for dental implants. That is my GW reward.

    Women that don't buy me presents are certainly a turn off. I prefer a lady that is fully and gainfully employed so I don't have to be. If she's afraid of adding some cheese to the frozen pizzas before cooking them for me, well that's a deal breaker right there. She has to be comfortable in my moms basement because that is where I prefer to hang out.

    I would rather hang out with a farter than a smoker...any day.

    Totally agree. Although minus #2 on that list he just described most of the women over 50 I know irl.

    After looking through this list, I've come to the conclusion that my "expectations" seem to be quite low... I'm happily seeing someone now, but most of the things people have listed here as being deal breakers wouldn't have mattered in the beginning.

    There is such a thing as being too picky, and all the restrictions and standards will only keep you from potentially meeting someone amazing.
