Hi this sounds great can you tell me exactly what kind of flour you use?
Was it plain or self-raising? I have never heard of cake flour,
Thanks0 -
Cake flour is in the grocery store in a pink or red box near the other flours but either up high or down on the bottom shelf as it is not a huge seller. According to everything that I have read the only difference is the chlorination process and the ability to rise. So you can use an all purpose if you don't want to get the cake flour.0

Just made these myself about an hour ago. Using a 1/4 cup measure to make them consistent, it made 10 pancakes at 42 calories a piece. I personally had 7 with some sugar-free maple syrup for a lovely just under 300 brunch! Wonderfully filling and very easy to make. Great directions!0

How much is a serving....1/4 cup???0

Bananas/banana puree makes a great low cal sub for eggs too. It might be wise to only sub part of the eggs though.0

Thanks for the post 2Phat! Having tried several 'low call' pancake recipes in the past my continued search has now ended. These are simple and due to folding in whipped egg whites remain fluffy that you would find in traditional pancake recipes. Made a couple of substitutions...
used 1/2 tsp salt instead of 1 tsp.
added 1 tsp vanilla extract0 -
Bump! They sound delicious!0

I started on MFP 8 weeks ago and have lost 8.6kg (19lb) so far. have had the occasional blow out day but try to claw the extra calories back over the next 2 or 3 days. Averaging about 1kg (2.2lb) a week loss and having sweet treats along the way, just in moderation.
I am astonished about how easy it is with good tools like MFp and the support of family and frioends.
That is great to hear. I just started (today is day 3). Thanks so much for sharing this recipe0 -

Cake flour is sold in the store, generally in a box labeled as such...
If you like, you can also make it yourself... Just take a cup of flour and remove two tablespoons of the flour and replace it with two tablespoons of corn starch... You just need to sift it several times to mix in the cornstarch and incorporate air, to make it light and fluffy...0 -
made these, but only got 15 out of them. they're still insanely low calorie. i used about 1/8 C for each scoop of pancake batter.
i have to admit, i was hesitant, since usually low calorie pancakes have no eggs, and those things are DISGUSTING. however, that is not the case with these pancakes. these are delicious! and since they're low calorie enough, don't hesitate to add some sort of sweetener, or have them with some scrambled eggs and a side of fruit or something.
