Water Diet - Please help

For the next week, I will be floating in my pool and only consuming the food items that can be drifted over to me.
I think most fruits and vegetables will work, and meat is pretty buoyant: it'll float just under the surface as long as its not overcooked.
Icecream, of course, would form miniature butter-pecan ice burgs.
My challenge is cake. Do you think it'll be ok if it gets completely sealed in fondant, or do you think it'll get too soggy to eat regardless?

Angel food cake sealed in fondant might be okay. The ring itself would make a fun underwater toy!0
-
Can you make a little cake raft? Maybe outta popsicle sticks?0
-
Beer of course! And maybe a sandwich in a Ziploc bag so it doesn't sink or get soggy.0
-
Why don't you get one of those floating trays and bars?0
-
I think having food encased in a container is cheating. If I did that, I could just munch on floating bags of Doritos all day and there wouldn't be much point in this diet, would there???0
-
This is a great diet. I really hope you solve the cake dilemna. I like the ideas so far!0

BUT WHAT COUNTS AS WATER?????!?!?? WHAT ABOUT COFFEE AND TEA???0
-
Actually, you could make a fondant boat, and then pretty much anything could be floated to you. And, those Scoopables Tostitos would probably float bite-sized snickers. This will work! I'm going out tomorrow and buying a pool!

BUT WHAT COUNTS AS WATER?????!?!?? WHAT ABOUT COFFEE AND TEA???
The water in the pool has chlorine in it. Is it still water?0 -
I think the snickers are pretty light anyway....0

That is a great point. Do you think it would be better to fill the pool with beer?0 -

Yes, I really think you should do that!0 -
The one thing that concerns me is the Norse king, Fjölnir, who drowned in a vat of mead. Do you think that his death indicates that beer has toxins?
ETA: and would the alcohol content affect the buoyancy of my diet?
EETA: Also, would it still be a "water" diet?0 -

Don't do the snickers! If they break away they will look like little floaties of something else! That could ruin your appetite.0 -
I heard this thread has beer. In for the beer.0

First of all - I'm extremely jealous you can even get in a pool yet - still cold here.
Secondly, can you not just swim to the side?

Watch Deuce Bigalow for hints and tips. I'm pretty sure the hot tub tactics translate to pools.0

Really? That's all you've got? What's it going to be next? IIFYM? Just eat at a deficit? Sheesh!0 -

Jeez - you haven't even started the "diet" and already you're crabby. Better rethink your plan.

All I'm asking for here is SUPPORT. Aren't we all here for the same thing?0 -
I won't be eating in the water any time soon, so I guess the answer to your question is 'no'. Also, in addition to the feelings below - you will also be wrinkly soon. I'm supporting you by not supporting you.
