I like to eat it with apple sauce. I grab a little bit of cottage cheese on my spoon and a little bit of apple sauce. I also like eating it with peach or pear slices.
I saw a recipe yesterday to mix half cottage cheese and half salsa in the blender and use it as a cracker, chip or veggie dip. I haven't tried it yet but if you like dips it might be worth it.
I second the applesauce. Especially if you are doing lowfat or nonfat cottage cheese which can be dry, the applesauce really helps. I use natural no sugar added.0 -
I didn't read through all the pages, to see if these are duplicates or not, but I like...
1. add some strawberry preserves and it almost tastes like cheesecake with strawberry topping
2. quarter some cherry tomatoes and add some jalapeno pepper rings.0 -
my mom use to blend it until it was smooth and add a little bit of jam or jelly to it. My grandma thought it was ice cream. but you could just add some crushed up fruit instead.0

My fav way to eat cottage cheese is with real Canadian maple syrup mixed in. I have a sweet tooth and that satisfies with a natural sugar.
I have also mixed apple butter into it. Not sure if you can get that in the US, but it's a big thing here. All natural ingredients, and just as yummy paired with natural peanut butter on toast!
APPLE BUTTER !!!
You're brilliant. Love the stuff0 -
I use either peaches, or tomatoes or pineapple. Also here's another idea. Mix the cottage cheese with some cinnamon and stevia. Top a piece of bread with the mixture and pop under the broiler until bubbly. I like that as breakfast. You can also add peaches on top of that mixture. :-)0
