Cost Analyst for a defense contractor. Definitely not conducive to a healthy lifestyle! It's pretty sedentary so I have to make time for working out after leaving the office. I am able to bring pretty much anything into the office as a meal so I'm luckier than some!

    "Business Performance Specialist"

It actually means that I tell people that they suck because they aren't following established process/policy, or I tell the people who write the process/policy that they suck because the customers are getting screwed. It also means I am surrounded by fellow nerds who either got their degree in the wrong field, or they didn't finish their degree for whatever reason. We have fun though!

Damnnnn, you're essentially the business policy. Have you ever repelled out of a helicopter when you had to bust someone? You know.. just for effect..

That would be awesome! I will make that suggestion at the next department meeting.

Security Liaison for a Secure Mental Health unit.... If I'm having a "good day" then I don't get more than 4000 steps, however if its a rough day then I'll get over 10,000.

Historic Preservation Consultant. I'm either really active doing site visits or really inactive sitting on my butt doing research and writing.

I am a legal assistant and sit on my rear end most of the day, help take care of my mom who has Alzheimer's, and am generally a walking ball of stress.

I'm a legal assistant for two corporate/commercial real estate lawyers. (YAWN! LOL)

They are seriously awesome people, though. My partner has her office across from my desk, but the younger associate has his office halfway around the building, so I get quite a bit of walking done on any given day (12K-15K steps per day). Plus, nobody really monitors my time as long as I get my work done well, so that means I can fit in my workouts most everyday without issue AND hang on MFP. :P

9-1-1 dispatcher - and not conducive to a healthy lifestyle...lots of stress and not a lot of moving around. I try to take breaks when I can and get up and walk around. That helps.

Thankfully I work in a VERY small office where everyone keeps to themselves (save for the guy across the hall who feels in necessary to tell me every time one of his clients blinks). I enjoy what I do so much but it keeps me stressed a good amount of the time.

I understand! Anything related to social work, legal system, etc, seems to be quite stressful much of the time.

But I am glad that you have a nice smaller office :-)

I'm a Benefits Analyst and it's VERY sedentary unless someone doesn't enroll in their benefits on time and I have to go beat their *kitten* HA!

I actually schedule my breaks, put reminders on my calendar and everything. I'll walk around, get water, go to the ladies room, clean up my desk real quick, all for about 10 minutes. I try to do that 3 or 4 times a day depending on how busy my day is but it's hard to get up with a desk job. There's always something keeping me tied to my desk. You just have to MAKE time.

For the past 25 years (anniversary in July) I have helped my husband operate our farm and ranch. Before that, I grew up on a small "hobby farm". Any other ranch wives, please feel free to friend me! :)

I , like so many, also have a mostly sedentary job...

I am a Department of the Air Force civilian...specifically an AETC Training Manager. I manage the entire training process for a given set of career fields. I much prefer my previous position where I was the Deputy Director for F-22 Technical Training. All of this is my way of continuing to serve after many many years in uniform of two different branches.
