I'm a Worship Pastor. I'm not very active on a regular basis but that's why I go to the gym0

I'm a desk jockey extraordinaire. I stare longingly into a computer screen, fire off dubious emails, and kill trees by driving up unnecessary demand for paper . . .
Edit: I also typo extraordinarily well0 -
I work for a medical software company. Normally I am a Product Support/Trainer, but I have moved over to the development side of things for a while just to help out. I sit behind a desk and stare at a computer screen all day. Its actually worked out good for my health. I've been able to keep the weight off at this job. Probably because it is a low stress job and I have a lot more free time to work out.0

I'm a pastry chef. Being required to taste sweets all day has made weight loss tough, but I'm making progress!
Oh this is my dream job! I would not be able to control myself though.
In my day job I'm a health and safety advisor in the oil and gas/mining/construction industry and work away on remote sites for sometimes weeks at a time which is not conducive to a healthy lifestyle at all as the camps cater very much to the big burly construction workers. Lots of deep fried foods, lots of processed convenience foods and limited fresh salads and vegetables The gyms are good though, and free. I'm also a small scale property developer in my spare time and hope to do more of it so I can retire soon.0 -

Currently I'm a computer forensic examiner but in a couple of weeks I'll be changing jobs to get back into security engineering. Either way, I'm at a keyboard all day so the only exercise I get is walking in and out of the building. Due to this, I rush home after work to see my wife and son for about an hour before I'm off to a couple hours of Hapkido or grappling, depending on the night.0

Lead call center rep for a hospital in St Louis.
And no, it's not good for my health.0 -
I'm a mom of 2 (10 and 8 year olds) first and an Infographist during the week days ... sitting all the time in front of the computer 7.5 hours a day / 5 days a week. This is SOOOOOO not good for mu butt. That is one of the main reason I'm here, trying to balance everything out ...0

I work in the post closing dept for a major east coast bank, in their mortgage division. I handle lien and title defects. And after the crazy years of 2002 through 2008, I have a lot to do!!!0

Still hanging out with the felons!0

I'm a middle school teacher. I just started working out a week ago. The students aren't going to have a one day turnaround on tests and essays anymore, since I'm not staying late and grading now, but my health is important enough to make that change!
The stress used to drive me to eating. And when you work with 45ish girl scouts, that is not at all a good thing!0 -
Network Engineer for the largest interwebs company. They promote a healthy lifestyle here...0

I'm an e-learning instructional designer for an agriculture and infrastructure manufacturing company. The job itself is a lot of time on my butt. And then there's the food days....When I started a few months ago, I was warned that the company has a "freshman 15" due to people bringing in snacks XP0

I am an Art Teacher for Middle School and Pre-K(Art Ed. is what I went to school for!) . Also, since I work in a small school, to keep me busy and full time, I am also the following: Special Education Aide for K-12; Prek,Kindergarten and 1st grade reading aide; Middle School and High School At-Risk aide and RTI (response to intervention) Specialist. I am a very busy woman! I hop from room to room all day, and sometimes I am sitting to work with students, or standing and teaching a whole class. It's stressful work, and most of the time I feel like there are not enough hours in a day!! Also, the pay stinks. But, I love what I do! My kids (all 400+ of them) are the best!0

WOW!!! There are some really cool jobs on here.
I treat the water we pull out of the ground to make it pure enough to make ethanol. And then test it through all the processes to make sure it's in spec as well as when we discharge it. I am up and down ladders and steps all day/night, it is quite physical but I switch back and forth from days to nights every 2 weeks. I believe that is detrimental to good eating/sleeping habits all together, but I'm trying!!0 -
I manage a bunch of UNIX server and Business Intelligence applications. I sit on my butt and stare at a screen all day. All the more reason to get up and get moving!0

I'm a military lawyer (JAG). Being a lawyer means I mostly sit at my desk all day, but at least being in the military, I get time during the work day to workout, so that helps a bit. Also, since the military requires that we stay in shape, I feel a bit of extra incentive not to miss my workouts.0

Did you pipe all your finishing options to grep?0 -
I sell property (Estate Agent) by day, and I act, play jazz, do public speaking and write on the side.
The only one that is conducive to weightloss is the acting. Dance rehearsals and show week kill a lot of calories....0 -
"Business Performance Specialist"
It actually means that I tell people that they suck because they aren't following established process/policy, or I tell the people who write the process/policy that they suck because the customers are getting screwed. It also means I am surrounded by fellow nerds who either got their degree in the wrong field, or they didn't finish their degree for whatever reason. We have fun though!
Damnnnn, you're essentially the business police. Have you ever repelled out of a helicopter when you had to bust someone? You know.. just for effect..0 -
Security Officer and mom. I sit by myself for the whole day looking at cameras, and being on MFP (ssshh). I have a 2yo and 4 yo, so it is chaos after I get home with them We have dance parties and they love having a full on war with the Tickle Monster. So I just consider my time at work my "self" time so when I am home, it is all about them.0
