 not sure if this was in here already or not but i love to make split pea soup with ham. i put a whole package of split peas in the crock pot with 7-8 cups, more or less depending on how thin or thick you like it, of half chicken stock and half vegetable stock. then i chop up celery and carrots and onions to your liking and put those in. then i cube up about 2 cups of ham (we like turkey ham) and put that in also. we cook it on low overnight and all day for dinner, and its amazing!! pepper as needed!
Quick question - does this recipe really cook overnight AND all day? Just wanting to make certain not to overcook the peas. Thanks!0 -

Bump....lots of yummy recipes here!
I love my crockpot, aside from making stews, soups, and roasts in it I love making turkey breast.
One recipe I just made recently was turkey breast cutlets with carrots, sweet potatoes and a packet of lipton onion soup mix, was super yummy! I made homemade cranberry sauce with honey instead of sugar on the side, it was fantastic!0 -
All the recipes sound great! Can't wait to try them out! Thanks!0
