Biomedical research scientist at a pharmaceutical company. Some days it's sedentary desk-work: reading, writing, calculating. Other days I may be on my feet/walking and/or sitting in the lab most of the day.
But we have a nice campus and I can go for a walk during lunch, if I want to. And we also have several wellness activities and incentives, too, so it makes it a bit easier than a lot of jobs!! We have a selection of healthy (and not so healthy) foods in the caf and vending machines (that I rarely frequent anymore!)
Gotta love that "PK" testing.....LOL. We were testing a West Nile virus vaccine candidate and one of the most complicated experiments was the pharmacokinetics study we had to do.0 -

Legal and Entertainment TV Transcriptionist.
If I am not sitting at my computer, I am not making money.
However, I work from home and make my own schedule, so I
can make the gym a priority.
For a few years my husband was disabled and then unemployed
and I literally sat for 15 of the 18 hours I was awake, working.
Thank God he has a job again and I am working less hours, but
working from home and knowing you only make money when the
the keyboard is clacking and there always being work to do, makes
home/work balance tough.0 -
