I am an early childhood teacher at a local daycare. I basically just take care of other peoples children. Currently in the infant classroom, so lots of up and down tending to crying babies, or doing floor/tummy time and helping them meet their developmental goals.

Biomedical research scientist at a pharmaceutical company. Some days it's sedentary desk-work: reading, writing, calculating. Other days I may be on my feet/walking and/or sitting in the lab most of the day.
But we have a nice campus and I can go for a walk during lunch, if I want to. And we also have several wellness activities and incentives, too, so it makes it a bit easier than a lot of jobs!! We have a selection of healthy (and not so healthy) foods in the caf and vending machines (that I rarely frequent anymore!)

Gotta love that "PK" testing.....LOL. We were testing a West Nile virus vaccine candidate and one of the most complicated experiments was the pharmacokinetics study we had to do.

    Ok, I'm in...
I own a company that specializes in commercial fitness equipment services (install, repair, etc..)
Kinda ironic that I'm in the fitness industry but I'm carrying extra weight... no end of fun at trade shows:laugh:

I'm the boss so lots of sitting down interrupted from time to time by carrying outrageously heavy equipment...
For reasons I'm not really clear on, most of my delivery staff are hobbit-sized...
Oh yeah, stress. lotsa that too

    Legal and Entertainment TV Transcriptionist.
If I am not sitting at my computer, I am not making money.

However, I work from home and make my own schedule, so I
can make the gym a priority.

For a few years my husband was disabled and then unemployed
and I literally sat for 15 of the 18 hours I was awake, working.

Thank God he has a job again and I am working less hours, but
working from home and knowing you only make money when the
the keyboard is clacking and there always being work to do, makes
    home/work balance tough.

I sell e-books about how to live large and only work 4 hours a week. There is no shortage of suckers to buy these and it allows me to live large and only work 4 hours a week.
