We just got a Wii for Christmas, so I think I might have to get some dancing games for it. I've heard good things, and it never hurts to burn a few more calories. Oh, I did Wii boxing for 15 or so minutes today. Going to go do a hill workout on the tready now.

So I was here...and then life happens. Well more specifically the eat fest also known as my 30th bday dinner, christmas eve, christmas day,and the 3 days spent at the bed and breakfast at the wineries. But I'm getting back into my groove...I'm typically the person that works out most days of the week (6-7 days) but in the past month some hard times have fallen on my and forced me to let my fitness fall by the wayside. But here I am!

I am following The Diet Solution (which is not a diet and I don't believe in diets) which is a low gylcemic index way of eating. I have pcos and this is how the specialist advised that I eat more closely. Gonna be hard not eating my chocolate cheerios for dinner that's for sure! lol! I also do toning with Tracy Anderson Method (which another person on here asked if it is good and worth it, and YES YES YES! it is wonderful! Here is the best gift you can get... http://www.lemusingsofmoi.com/2010/06/all-your-free-tracy-anderson-video.html I recommend the Mat Workout to start with. I also do the treadmill dance workout and look silly but absolutely love it!) cardio kickbox, and the treadmill dance workout. So I will do at least 6 hours of cardio with 6 hours of toning each week. I guess I need to start off by getting some batteries for my scale. Will definitely weigh in next Monday!

My resolution for this year is to be kind to myself and treat my body with love and respect by keeping it active and feeding it foods to fuel it, not to destroy it.

    Here's to an amazing 2011!

    HI to all!
Prekteacher2, Fit2, Jeannie, Amy, Abbie, and Heather :) Is that all of us? So sorry if I missed anyone.
I just wanted to say Happy 2011!!!

Jeannie, I hope you're feeling better and stronger with each passing day. We're pulling for you. You've been an inspiration to me at different points with lots of positive posting. I know you'll bounce back and be stronger and better than ever!

Amy, Boxing and treadmill sounds pretty fun actually. I'm curious - is the Wii as fun as it sounds? I'm a secret wii-wanter. ;) The workout aspect sounds good but also the ability to stream movies from netflix,,, maybe I should be savin' my pennies...

Abbie - sure! whatever works for you, would be my vote. I don't know if I'll post a new weight on Monday or if I'll use this past Friday's weight. Whatever, just be consistent would be my recommendation.

Heather - thank you thank you thank you for the link to the TA workouts! I'll check it out pronto. I'm trying to convince myself to fork over the cash for the abs workout... (the post pregnancy one -even though I've never had kids  )

And, to whoever's going to Red Lobster - enjoy. Yum, yum, yum! :)

Smiles--It's okay. We just got it for Christmas, so I can't comment too much on the Wii. Some of the games don't move like I think they should. I want to get Just Dance for my birthday. I hear it's a blast!

Okay, I did it. The prospect of coming back here, shame-faced and saying I couldn't do it was enough to motivate me. I did the 6w6p dvd and then a cardio kickbox. Feel pretty good, if I ignore my aching muscles! ;)

Happy New Year all! You are an inspiration. :)
    Great work smiles!!

Me...I slacked yesterday and today. Just felt tired so decided to give myself a break. I'll just push myself this week. But I do that anyway. :)

Amy, good luck w/the hybrid starting tomorrow. Thanks again for the schedule. I think I'll do that as a "Round 2" schedule and start with the one that came with TF. I did CLX so long ago (almost a year), it's probably best to start at the beginning. I've been doing cardio heavy workouts to drop the weight.

Sas, I didn't mean to skip over you! :) Thanks for the pat on the back. It sounded like you needed a couple of rest days - and you'll be back at it tomorrow.

Last week I increased my exercise so that it was daily, at least an hour. It felt good. Yesterday was a rest day. Today I went for a jog and did some stretching. I'm starting to see how a more balanced mentality about food is possible. It's often a struggle to stay within my calorie goal - mostly bc I'm not *that* motivated to do it. I keep thinking "how does a person with flat abs eat?" So far, that little trick is helping a smidge. It didn't keep me away from the fudge (1 piece), but it stopped me from also going for the ice cream!

For you to be able to even have fudge and ice cream in your house is a win! lol! My weakness is sweets of any kind so I learned a long time ago that I am unable to have things like cookies and ice cream in my house. Those are special treats to be kept out of the house. I'd kill for a bowl of ice cream right now! Following this low glycemic index way of eating is good for me I know that, but the sugar detox is making me uncomfortable...but isn't detox always uncomfortable?! I am proud of myself though, my neighbor brought over the yearly gift of chocolate goodies and as much as I didn't want to, I threw them away. I've had the thought of digging them out...but I know two things, 1.) how pathetic to dig in the trash for goodies and 2.) it won't make me feel any better...it will ease the discomfort for a moment but I'll be right back where I started. One day at a time, with one healthy choice at a time.

    Hello all!

I have made good food choices and I've also got in some exercise. BUT, I'm really wanting a bowl of ice cream or something sweet. I don't have any of it in my house (thank goodness).

For dinner I made Hungry Girl "fried "Chicken strips and they was wonderful. My whole family loved them. I found the receipe in the People Magazine Half Their Size.

I'm having a problem getting in my water. I need some ideas???

    Starting Weight (12/20): 144.4
    Today's Weight (12/27): 143.4
    Difference: 1
Overall Pounds Lost: 1 pounds in challenge
    Goal Weight: 130

Only 1 lb, but a loss is a loss right? I'll take it. Especially considering I didn't have the greatest of food days this weekend. Not super horrible, but definitely could've been better.

Killed the exercised today!! Took 2 days off and pushed thru 2 TF workouts (55EZ & Fire 45). Felt awesome to actually make it through both of them w/out much fatigue. We'll see how I feel later though. Either way, it's 941 cals gone! I doubt I'll burn that many again, so I'm going to relish that little accomplishment.

Look forward to checking in later. Have a great day, everyone!!

Hello Monday morning check-in! Last Pesky 20 here we go!

    Starting Weight (12/27): 154
    Today's Weight (1/3): 153
    Difference: 1 lb.
    Overall Pounds Lost: 1lb
    Goal Weight: 143

So, 1 lb is awsome, I'm only 5'4" so a pound is great! Measured today and have lost 1/4" in all the important areas
No exercise at all this weekend, cause hubby actually had 2 days off in a row! Back to the grind today. Other than buying a new scale and finding out that I am actually 3 lbs heavier than I thought (that sucked!) I'm doing pretty good. New scale can only change my number not all the pounds I've already lost.

Good luck on this week guys!

Good morning everyone! Happy Monday to you all!

As for me, I'm hitting the ground running today. I just got up and had my green tea and now I'm gonna eat b'fast and change for the gym. Today I'm doing 60 mins of Tracy Anderson's treadmill workout, 60 mins Tracy Anderson mat method toning, and then tonight I'm going to do 60 mins cardio kickbox. I've mentioned before I'm following the diet solution protein type plan and it's been a slow go but I'm hoping I'm getting it down. My sugar cravings yesterday were pretty bad so we will see today.

So I finally went out and got the batteries for the scale...

Previous weight (last week at the Dr's office): 156 lbs
    CW: 150 lbs
    GW: 135-140
Height 5"6.5 (I like seeing heights to give a good idea of what goal weights are based on height.)

For water, I just make myself drink it :( Sorry I dont have any special tips, lol. I have three water bottles that hold 32oz each. I start one when I wake up and bring one to work and have one in the evening. I also try to make sure I drink all my water before I let myself have my can of diet coke.

I am holding my 4 lbs weight gain. Now that my vacation is over, although I did two hilly hikes this weekend, I ate like I was straving. So back on it today. No gain but no loss either.

    Previous weight : 137 (12/27)
    CW: 135.6
    GW: ??
    Height: 5'4 (and a half!)

Looks like I'm down 1.4 in a week. :) Body fat scale showed a slight reduction in body fat and a slight increase in muscle mass... so.... all's good in the hood. ;)

    Great job everyone.
