    My bf recently turned 30 and I think it is getting to his head. I tease him for being old and he says that I should be careful because he will start looking to trade me in for a newer model. Well... sadly I don't think he's joking. My little sister just had her 18th birthday and he started joking about how she's legal now. I wrote that off but then things started getting even more suspicious. Now they text all the time and have even started talking to each other on snapchat. I am just a little worried about what they could possibly be talking about and sending to each other on snapchat. My sister is much cooler than I am and a lot funnier so I have reason to be concerned. :frown:

    What should I do? Should I confront them about it?

    If he's actually flirting with her and/or spending more time texting/snapchatting with her than he is spending time with you then I'd just dump him. You're only 22, how on earth anyone even vaguely sensible can talk about swapping a 22 year old (8 years their junior) for a younger model is beyond me. Even if he wanted to get you back for something you said and did then making 'legal' jokes about your sister is WAY below the belt IMO.

    I agree with the poster who suggested he likes his girls as close to the legal limit as possible and he'll probably never grow out of that. I have a male friend who is the same, he is now 42 (and chronically single!) and he is only ever interested in 18 year olds.

    Ditch the looser boyfriend and find a real man that will treat you right.

    Also, you might want to lay off about teasing about the age thing. While us guys might put up a front about not caring, it actually does affect us. We might not show it on the outside, but it does (says the guy who is turning 40 this year... :sad: )

    I think the proof is right there in front of you. It is obvious that he doesn't respect your feelings making crude jokes like that, and talking to your sister so much is crossing the line.

    I'd suggest confronting them and then just breaking up.

    This!!! That's not cool at all. What do they have to talk about that it has to involve a phone??

    My hubby and i are both 22 y/o. And we joke all the time about how we're getting old. Apparently we're not. But those jokes kinda do bother! Still doesn't give him the right to talk to your younger sister.

    I had a ex who did that, he tried to hook up with her, at the time I was 15(Was with him until I was 21) My sister never told me until we broke up, wish she would of bc i wasted all my teen years with the kid.

    OP, I'm 27 and my sister just turned 18 as well. She and my fiance act the same way, not because they are hooking up behind my back, but because we are family and they love each other like siblings. Thankfully my sister and I are close, despite our age gap.

    But for your 30 year br old to make the 'legal' comment... kinda creepy.

    I'd also be worried about your sister. I don't know why she is talking to him in the first place. When I was 18 I would have never wanted anything to do with a 30 year old man especially if he was with a relative of mine.

    I agree. I always look down respectfully when at a girlfriend's family functions amd try not to be seen lest I accidentally talk to someone!
