i have to have quick foods in the house, because I have to cook two meals all the time. (children)
Easy micrwave veggies (sadly, high in sodium, but I rinse the sauce off so that prob cuts it in half)

minute rice. higher in carbs and calories, but quick and easy!

OMG Nutella, that stuff is the BOMB.. it helped me quit smoking (dipped celery in it when i had cravings) and now with dieting it is still around for that part too.. i highly recommend it.. For those of you who don't know cigs. have caffeine in them and the nutella gave just enough caffeine to curve that fix.. Don't believe me? ask you doc.. I was surprised to find that out too.
BTW I keep all sweet n low in the house to sub for sugar.. always have but seems to be catching on now.. I still use sugar some but in moderation.0 -

Sea Salt Somersaults: if you haven't had these, try them! And these are really snack friendly because you can count them out and track them easily...need 100 calories? 70? Easy.
Pita Crisps: garlic flavor
Yogurt Drinks
Canned or jarred fruit: because you just can't get to the grocery store every few days!

I have about 15 things I keep regularly... so adding 5 bonus ones!
1) Turkey Deli Meat (from the counter, not the pre-packaged)
2) Low fat cheese singles (babybel, phili cream cheese, etc)
3) Celery
4) Cucumbers
5) Raspberries
6) Low cal/fat/sodium Progresso Soups (usually around 150 cal/can)
7) No sugar added Cranberry juice
8) Salsa
9) Hummus
10) Dark chocolate (eat sparingly... the darker the better, 1 piece really satisfies my sweet tooth)
11) Oat and Honey Bars (great with some natural smooth peanut butter!)
12) GNC Lean Shakes (180 calories in one serving. Usually use this as a last resort if I'm in a hurry)
13) Black unsweetened tea/Mint Tea (No green tea b/c I have hypothyroidism and the fluoride levels really mess up my thyroid levels)
14) Cherry tomatoes
15) Frozen & shelled Edamame0 -

3. Plain nonfat yogurt (Meijer brand, Kroger brand, or Dannon) or plain Greek yogurt
4. Laughing cow light cheese wedges
5. COFFEE and tea
6. Bananas & fruit (apples, pears, oranges/ clementines, blueberries, strawberries, cranberries, whatever season. on sale)
7. Fresh veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, broccoli cole slaw, mushrooms, onions, brussel sprouts, peppers, tomatoes, spinach, romaine, again whatever is in season/ on sale!)
8. Sweet potatoes/ regular potatoes
9. Chicken breasts
10. Eggs/ egg beaters
11. SALSA!! I use salsa on about everything!
12. Beans (black, kidney, pinto, garbanzo, northern...)
13. PEANUT BUTTER! (Natural crunchy, either Kroger brand or Naturally More PB)
14. Chocolate Shakeology (I won't push it on you but I won't live w/out it! LOL)
15. PB 2- regular and chocolate flavors
16. Unsweetened Almond Breeze Almond Milk or So Delicious Unsweetened Coconut Milk
17. Dove Dark chocolate promises (only 1 a day, but I won't live w/out dark chocolate!)
18. Hershey's Special dark cocoa powder (used w/ the Dove Dark chocolate and almond milk to make an awesome hot cocoa!)
19. Popcorn
20. Nuts (almonds, walnuts, pistachios, cashews, gotta have the healthy fats!)
21. Canned solid pumpkin
22. Brown rice
23, Balsamic vinegar/ red wine vinegar and olive oil (for dressing)
I knew that I couldn't narrow it down to 10. I could go on... but seriously those are pretty much the things that I ALWAYS have on hand or I'm making a trip to the store!!!0 -
