    This thread just reminded me of HS? We had jocks who I grew
    up with .. their personality sucked but they were easy to look
    at. The trouble was how can one converse and enjoy the
    company of a guy with no personality, even if he looks like
    Adonis!?!? A good looking man, must also possess a
    knockout mind/wit/intellect .. IMHO.
    Or an average Joe is just fine!!

    @Sculli, not ALL jocks are personality-less. The
    ones I knew were devoid of anything outside
    of groping at us girls or playing ball.

    Both do matter. But personality always eventually comes out tops tops.

    Look at it this way, a good looking person with an ugly personality is actually very unattractive, no matter how good looking they are. On the other hand, an average or not so good looking person, so to say but whose personality truly shines will always look attractive to the observer. At least that's my experience anyway.
    To that I'd say the good looking one with a bad personality would be nothing but eye candy but no relationship. The not good looking nice person would be friendzoned. But the one with both would be relationship material.

    For sure. That's definitely another way to look at it. I don't know if it's the way I was raised or if it's just the way I am but I personally tend to more attracted to a average looking or even not so good looking woman with a great personality than a really hot looking woman whose personality sucks.

    Unfortunately people who have both good looks and a great personality all in one are few and far between.

    i have to find you attractive. dont have to be a 10, but not a 1. Personality, well that is how relationships last so it needs to be there. Looks will fade.

    On first attraction looks of course. How else do you get start. Wow that girls I think has a awesome personality. let me get to know her.

    Later of for me to stay. I will say 60/40 splits personality/looks.

    Word. I won't even consider a girl unless she dresses herself like a lady, catches every eye of the room she walks in - and for her to stick around longer than a week she has to have a catchy/cute personality.

    everybody loves to have eye candy someone that everybody else wants but I'd rather have personality, a woman can be drop dead gorgeous if she has a ****ed up character then shes ugly for me

    You can grow to like someones looks or grow to like there personality. One is just as important as the other. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. So when you see that couple and wonder just know that they both find each other attractive.

    Looks is the first initial attraction. On very small occasions personality has got me talking to a women first. Now I will say every time I have look at there assets.
