Need very strict friends : 1200-1300 calories a day

Options
Hey :)

For the next 10 weeks I am determine to lose 20 pounds and today is my first day of the 1200-1300 calorie diet. Anyone with me? Just add me :) I would appreciate every friend request, just am really wishing I have a strong willed community. I eat very healthy (no junk food ever for 2 years, not even once :D ), but dont expect others to eat this maniac way. I need a support group that dont exceed calorie limits, so that I can get motivated to go through this 10 weeks.

:) I know calories are low, but I know what I do and actually must do it. I am 5ft7-5 ft8, around 152 pounds, want to be around 20 less in 10 weeks. I gained weight with a healthy paleo lifestyle, because I binged on potatoes with butter due to depression for several months.

i would consider a more realistic goal that is less likely to end in failure and bingeing... but thats just me!

I am set at 1200 calories a day, honestly I don't eat perfectly "clean" but I don't find it incredibly difficult to keep it at 1200.

So I was just wondering how you guys develop such strong willpower to stick to 1200 calories a day? I have a similar goal but I keep finding myself going over.
Also do you find a stricter network more beneficial or a network whose people can relate to your setbacks?

I just don't have any foods that I really enjoy so that probably helps a lot. I am weird, but honestly if I had certain foods I loved I would find it very hard to stay at 1200 probably. From your profile pic you look great already anyways :)

This. 1200 calories is a way too low calorie goal for most people in the long term. Do you really see yourself eating like this for the rest of your life?

Hey, thanks for your interest in this challenge!
Sorry if I made somebody uncomfortable with my clean eating habits, I didnt mean that I expect the support group to be like me in this matter. I do it for health reasons (former acne sufferer) and because I like the feeling to be 100% dedicated to something. I dont crave fast food. I eat paleo diet plus beans, lugumes and occaisonal grains. :)
With strict I meant just fitting into those 1200 calories, something very difficult for me at least!

    I will add you!

P.S. To those of you who said it is programmed for failure, I respect your opinion, just dont share it. :) If the diet is rich in nutritions and is short term and the right mindset is present, I believe will be very beneficial. Anyways, wish you luck all of you and stay motivated!

For me NOT doing a daily total but a WEEKLY helps a lot! I do 8400 per week and don't worry much over the individual day!

Really 1200 for the rest of my life????? NO! I'm on a Diet! when the weight is off I will gradually add calories back to my TDEE!!! Not sure why people think eating this way is permanent!

    Good luck.

You are 22yo, 5'7", 152lbs, female. I entered that info into a BMI calculator. Your BMI is 23.8. Normal range for someone with your stats is 18.5-24.5. It will be VERY difficult for you to lose 2lbs a week consistently, and if you do, you will be losing lean mass, not fat. 2lbs is doable for obese/overweight people - not so much for people in a normal weight range.

But hey, do want you gotta do. If (and when) you get frustrated with your progress you may want to consider reading these links>>>

I've eaten under 1300 for the last 9 weeks. I've recently upped my calories to1500 as I've intensified my strength training and have added BCAA's to my diet (thought I would need the leeway in allotment of calories). I've yet to need the 1500, as I'm perfectly satisfied, still, they're there if I need them.
You're more than welcome to add me
