I switch between heels and flats. Some clothes just look better with heels. Heels elongate my short legs and make my butt look better. Some heels are comfortable. Those with a platform usually are. Those that are more expensive usually are.

I can also walk in heels. Once you've done pointe heels are a cakewalk.

I'm 5' 2.5". That's why.

My heals are no more then 1.5" to 2" in high. Most are the 1.5". I can't walk in anything higher!

Personally, I love the way heels elongate the legs, make your calves pop and emphasize the backside.
For a long whole I wasn't able to wear any heel because I had bulging discs in my back do to scoliosis.
With that I learned to be fashionable in flat shoes and there are a lot of cute ones.
So now, if I'm going to a wedding, party, etc with lots of standing, walking, dancing I'll wear flats for sure or I know I'll only end up bear foot by the end of the night.
If it's a dinner or someplace where we'll be lounging or I'm just feeling flirty I'll rock the heels, which look awesome with dresses, skinny jeans and sometimes even shorts, depending on style.
I got rid of a few, but saved all my favorites.

To each his or her own.
Just do what you like and what makes you feel good and to hell with anyone who doesn't like it, life's too short for that.

Yup. If I'm gonna wear a heel, it's most likely a wedge of sometype... they are the least horrible on my feet.

I don't wear heels often because I like my feet... but when I'm wearing a nice outfit, I like heels because they show off my calves, which are by far one of my favorite features.

sure do-- one of my coworkers wore his black & silver platforms w/goldfish in the heels to work for Halloween! IT was hilarious...I must admit, he did walk better in them than some girls I know!

You don't speak for everyone's comfort. I don't find jeans and most pants comfortable- but thousands of women everywhere do. Should I start calling them liars?

As a woman, I hate high heels, I can't walk in them and I feel stupid when I try to wear them. I much prefer a pair of combat boots.

I LOVE my heels... I feel sexy and my legs look fabulous... I do go high (occassionally whorish) but if they are really uncomfortable that is a distraction. I can run in stillettos if they have a strap, but not on brick streets... epic fail in Boston on that...

I like being short. Oh and also, my feet are a mess. And, I don't know how to walk in heels. Soooo...that might be part of my aversion.

Luckily, my husband doesn't care for heels or thongs (which is totally unrelated).

Lol - How did I miss this??? I agree. ^^^ I ONLY wear high heels. AND, my chiropractor, doctor AND podiatrist all gave it the thumbs up, since it hurts my feet to walk in flats...SMH.
