  • Hi, I'm 46 and I'm serious about using mfp! I've tried it in the past, but wasn't serious. I bought a fitbit flex to help me on my journey! I need to loose 50+ lbs. I feel like I should be on Extreme Weight Loss. I need to get healthy! I started on Monday with exercising at the YMCA. I decided not to tell my husband because I want to surprise him. I want to see when he notices!!!!

Hi Angee. I'm just starting back with MFP again. I'm 44. I definitely agree with talking to people in the same age bracket. I lost 30 pounds last year then had an injury. Between healing and apathy after not being able to do anything for so long 20 pounds has creeped back. I'm open to friend requests as I seem to not be able to hold myself accountable. My willpower is terrible.
  • I am 42. Had children in my late 30's. Still trying to lose the last stubborn pounds!!!! Would love some friends over 40 for motivation!!! So many of you have lost so much weight. So inspiring!

I'm almost 44 and have been here before but fell off the wagon big time and gained everything I worked so hard to lose back. I am starting again and need help with accountability, so please add me and feel free to kick my bum if I even look like dropping the ball again. I give you permission to give me all the truth I can handle. Please add me :)

I like having friends in my age range (I'm 49) so if anyone wants to friend me please do. I find the challenges of staying fit and healthy have required some adjustment as I got older, that is, I have to take it a little easier, and sometimes I need advice or just to hear what others are going through, because I've never gotten old before!

Hi, I'm 40. Need a lot of motivation. Seems like when I get going, I make that initial water weight loss, then....nothing. After that, I get discouraged and fall off the wagon.

I'm starting over as my son is back in school and I've got some time during the day to work out.

Ready to hit it hard....again...for the 100th or so time...

I'd like to be on here daily to keep myself honest. Anyone and everyone is welcome to add me and nag me along!

"Just turned 49--yikes! Used to be really fit, until two years ago when I changed careers, then it was less time in the gym and more time on my butt. But, we're never too old to pursue fitness, so here I am. Looking for all the support I can get from the over 40 crowd. "

    OMG! I CAN TOTALLY RELATE!!

Hi All.. I'll be blowing out 41 candles next month! :) I am also new here to these message boards. At home I'm among people who are constantly sabotaging my weight loss attempts. They don't do it on purpose, or maliciously. They just "forget" and well.. they just aren't too supportive in this weight loss journey I'm on. So, I'm looking to friend anyone who can be supportive, and give advice. I am willing to do the same. Add me.

I'm 41 and finally have the schedule to accommodate working out. I am doing much better with that than the eating. I am currently in the final weeks of the Couch25K program. My goal is to run a 5K in October. Looking for fun people to share the ups and downs of the battle of the bulge. I have a little one and an awesome husband! I would love to see them at the finish line! Also, I want to set a great example for my little girl!
