I looove cottage cheese. I've been eating it with a splenda packet, cinnamon, and cut up apples. It's almost like a dessert!
While I like that, I am curious what other people put in their cottage cheese? I would love to try some new things. Thanks!

Sometimes I mix Fat Free Italian dressing in it and use it as a veggie dip. Not bad.0

I do this too, it kind of tastes like cheesecake, very yummy.0 -

FYI cottage cheese is already high in sodium so be careful.0 -
Spread on a wholegrain bread or mixed with tomatoes, corn and tuna:))0

With a spoon... har har har
Seriously though, with cut up fruit (whatever I have) a generous dash or three of cinnamon, and some walnuts or other nuts I have around the house. So yum. If I want to have it for a "meal" instead of a snack, I'll have cherry tomatoes and cukes cut up, with 1/2 cup of cottage cheese, some protein like cooked chicken or fish, and then freshly ground pepper. Stir it all up, or eat it like a salad.0 -
I buy the small curd (Knudsens). It has a texture similar to ricotta cheese. Then I toss in small frozen fruit like blueberries, raspberries, etc. Yum. Just like a desert!0

Try blending it up and using it on Baked Potatoes and you can also add a packet of ranch dressing and use as a dip or salad dressing. Low Calorie and High Protein Salad Dressing. Hard to find.0

Also great with a scoop of Cottage Cheese and a Scoop of Tuna Fish rolled in a lettuce wrap. Very filling!0

I eat mine with splenda and cinnamon and sometimes applesauce. Or if I'm feeling especially in need of dessert, I'll heat up some apple slices in 1 pat of butter and add 1 tsp brown sugar and serve it warm over the cottage cheese.
I also like pineapple ~~ peach slices ~~ berries ~~ more-fruit jam ~~ honey and walnuts.
I never got used to eating savory versions but I know some people put cottage cheese on an English muffin with tomato slices, s&p and heat it up in the toaster oven.0 -
I cut grape tomatoes (cherub tomatoes) in half and then mix with the cottage cheese. Then add pepper. Yummy!0

ooo I never thought of using it as a dessert, i should have had it with my baked apples tonight :P
I have always lked mine in Jacket potatoes, on rice cakes or in wholemeal pitta. Sounds boring but I always buy the onion and chives one, bit of Tabasco. Sorted!0 -
I have mine in the morning with 1/2 cup plain yogurt, 1/2 cup cottage and 1/2 cup blueberries. The blueberries are frozen so I nuk them a bit and add Splenda and cinnamon. I love it. Cottage cheese is also good with oranges or bananas sliced up in it.0

I never season mine or add anything to it. I can only eat the 4% milkfat kind though. I like it on a bagel or english muffin instead of butter or jam though, or spread it on Triscuit or Ritz crackers.0

Two ways... one I love 100 calorie Breakstone Cottage Doubles with pineapple. The other, I like to put it on 1/2 of a toasted Thomas Bagel Thin (the whole bagel thin would be 110 cals).0
