This is suppose to be a complete meal.

350ml water (or 300ml water and a few ice cubes)
    4tbsps cream cheese
    1/8tsp allspice or nutmeg
    1/4tsp salt
1tsp cinnamon (or less if you're not a big fan)
    2tsp psyllium husk fibre
    Calorie-free sweetener to taste
    3Tbsps Realemon
80-90g dark green leaves (baby spinach, baby kale, or whatever is on hand)
    55-100g grapefruit (I usually use 1/4 grapefruit)
50g frozen avocado (again, I usually use 1/4)

The night before, brew one bag of green tea in the water and refrigerate if you like your morning caffeine.

    350-390 calories
roughly 23% daily recommended intake of protein
roughly 25% daily recommended intake of fibre
roughly 21% daily recommended intake of calcium
roughly 49% daily recommended intake of iron
    full vitA and vitC
roughly 20% (max) daily recommended intake of cholesterol

    On a more relevant note:

A big ole handful of spinach, a banana, tbsp of peanut butter, a tbsp of baking cocoa and a scoop of protein powder (mine's chocolate). Blend the heck out of that. Add more cocoa or a bit of honey to hide the green colour or sweeten it, respectively.

Its a dark chocolate Reese smoothie and you can't taste the spinach at all. Also, add ice or chill it before drinking, or use frozen chunks of banana.

Also add your choice of liquid to thin it out. Milk, yogurt, almind milk, coconut milk, whatevs.

So many of these sound amazing!

But I hate bananas. Do those of you who use bananas do so for the flavor or to help the texture / thickness?

    Can anyone recommend alternatives?

    Thanks!

The banana adds texture and sweetness. You could throw in avocado and some honey instead, or use yogurt.

When I make a smoothie I put bananas, strawberries, milk or yogut (a little bit), ice.. Yum. I need to buy some fruit. Good thing there is a sale this week at the store.
