Aren't you girls hungry?
Those eating at TDEE or responsibly below excluded.
But no one should be eating 1000 - 1400 calories... few people would have BMR less then that!
Totally agree at first I was eating way too little getting headaches and my skin looked awful. Switched to TDEE -20% and I feel so much better and I'm losing as fast as I want to. I want to lose 40 this year and I am over halfway without a crazy deficit. Maybe you guys should reevaluate glad I did.0 -
5'5 228 lbs-41 years old eating 1500 a day. I started at 1200 a day and found myself wanting to attack the people around me....:ohwell:0

I'm 5ft3, 168lbs and eat 1300cals a day with exercise (mainly Jillian Michaels stuff). My gym membership is on hold atm due to my new job not starting until August so can't afford it right now but when I'm there I burn around 500-800cals and eat 1400-1800 depending how hungry I am.0

It's important to nurture your body, and eating good is the big deal.
I did start with 1200 calories, wanting to lose all this weight, quickly, and nothing happened.. the scale didn't move. I was hungry, and it was unreasonable for me. I personally believe you will have longevity if you set a realistic goal of a half pound to 1 weekly no more that 1.5 . It's the slow and steady that wins the race.
My calories are now at 1640. I budget for treats, and eat, real food. I've been seeing results. I've changed it, and you will need too as you lose weight.
Happy Logging..0 -

I'm 5'4", 150 lbs, and 33 years old. I eat 1200 - 1400 calories per day and walk / run regularly (at least 4 days a week for 30 minutes or more). On the days I have an intense workout, I have a tendancy to eat closer to 1400. When I am really on top of doing my strength training, I do this and usually lose about 1 - 2 pounds per week... otherwise I at least maintain or lose maybe 1/2 lb per week (just walking / running 30 minutes a day 4 - 5 days a week).
On a side note, I had gastric bypass in 2007 when I weighed 290 lbs. So I can only eat so much. I also have hypoglycemia, so I eat 5 - 6 small meals / snacks per day. It keeps me energetic and keeps my blood sugar regulated throughout the day.0 -
I'm 5'4", 129 lb and 67. I eat a base of 1770 calories at an active level of maintenance plus an additional level through exercising on a regular basis. When I was losing weight I ate 1450 a day and tried not to eat all my exercise calories back. Right now I have silent reflux and they've cut out almost all my favorite foods, so I have to replace them with new ones. ;-(0

I am 5'6 and weigh 165lbs. I eat anywhere from 1600-2000 depending on my activity level. I find I really need to have a good work out to get my 2000 cals! I seem to lose about 1.5-2 lb a week if I stick around 1700-1800, swim 2 times a week , lift 2 times a week and do 1 5km jog a week.0

5'6 144 and slowly, steadily losing at 1800 - with three or four intense hours of exercise a week.0

5' 6' current weight 146 and it's 1290 calories a day, but I am older than most of you so cannot lose at higher calories.0

4'11", 127 pounds. Was eating 1200 a day and feeling soooo hungry all the time. I upped my calories to 1500 and I have lost weight faster since upping my calories, as long as I eat clean and avoid real salty or sweet foods. I try to stick to 40% carbs/30% fat/ 30% protein. Upping my calories has really helped. I was super scared to up my calories, but so glad I did. I have a physical job and I do HIIT 4 times a week, lift 3-4 times a week, and do throw some pilates and light cardio into the mix.0

5'6", 25 years old, 208 pounds and my calories are set to 1670. I don't work out much. Mostly a walk each day with my dog and some frizbee time in the evening with her. It'll be changing once I start my new job though.0

I eat anywhere between 2000-2200 calories. But I'm still overweight (71kg at 5ft 4in) and work out at least 5 days a week. It's what works for me.0

I'm 5'5, currently 146, and eating an average of 1300 a day (sometimes I go a bit over on the weekends, so Monday and Tuesday are lower to account for that - so the 1300 is the weekly average) - trying to get back down to 126 which where I was in June of last year and what feels comfortable to me.0
