dumb questions people that don't workout ask you
So I know I'm not the only one that people ask crazy fitness questions to. This happened just this morning
Guy says to me at gym "I been working out for 6 months and don't look anything like you.......you got to be on steroids. Hook me up.
My reply "no dumbass I been lifting almost every day for over 8 years. It's called hard work"

When my extended family sees me eating carbs or junk or pasta or pretty much any delicious food "oh, you must be taking a break from your diet right now?"
No. This is my diet.0 -
"Are you supposed to be eating that?"
"Aren't you worried about looking like a guy?"0 -
My favorite.. "How do you run?!"
My answer.. "Well, i put one foot in front of the other, kind of like walkng..but a lot faster"0 -

Not really questions, but:
"It's too hot to be walking outside right now." (Yes, it's in the 90s over here. So what.)
In a few months it'll be,
"It's too cold to be walking outside right now."0 -
"Where do you find the time??"

"Oh you like lifting, why don't you do crossfit?"
"I like my progressive loading program just fine."
"Oh well be careful you don't hurt yourself."

So I don't know if that is such a bad question or statement.. I had a friend (female) where she and her boyfriend are body builders.
and after the show they ate pizza and pasta.. as to opposed to before the shows they ate like rabbits ( her words, Salads and proteins and little to no carbs.)0 -

Also, the last time I saw my MiL, (who has tried every crash, fad and gimmick diet out there; everything BUT eating at a reasonable deficit) she asked "what my secret" was. Yes, she really went there.0

I get more unsolicited advice than questions. I guess people assume I am just starting out because I'm not "muscular"
"Don't go too heavy with the squats, you will break your spine"
"Don't bench press, you will lose your boobs"
"You legs will get huge"
etc....etc....etc...0 -
Does your husband think you look attractive "like that"?
How do you have time "for that"?0 -
"Are you allowed to eat that on your diet?" Um no, as I am not on a diet. I eat whatever I want in moderation0

I don't mind answering I just find it sounds kind of snotty and like I'm trying to avoid the question when I answer because my answer is "depends on what lift I'm doing... if it's a front squat it's x amount if it's a back squat it's x amount, deadlift, snatch, clean, clean + jerk..."
usually they either roll their eyes or their eyes glaze over... whatever -you asked.0 -
