    Not really questions, but:

"It's too hot to be walking outside right now." (Yes, it's in the 90s over here. So what.)

In a few months it'll be,

"It's too cold to be walking outside right now."

Same as mine only its 105 average every day and I am riding....

"How do you stand the heat"

"How long are you going to be on your diet?" This drives me crazy! I am not on a diet, I have simply chosen not to stuff my face with processed food all day every day. -_____- It's not revolutionary.

"You are spending too much time working out" I LOVE that one.

Not a question, but a statement I've heard a number of times -

"I don't follow a plan, I just do what feels right..." (And they look like it!)

THAT must be the secret to mediocrity, or maybe it's just the unfocused wandering in the gym consulting the "smart" phone for guidance in life...(hence including them in the category of "people that don't workout")...

Don't get me wrong, kudos for even making it to the gym...but then DO something!

How can you jump rope that fast and still be fat?

OK, I know this is a rude thing for someone to say to you, but I have to admit it really struck me as funny. Keep up the jumping!! :flowerforyou:

He through one of those "I don't mean to offend you then quote above". I told him my diet is trash. We had a good laugh together. It the truth though. If there was a way to outrun a poor diet I would of done it years ago.

I think it's easier for guys to talk like this to each other. We would never say that to a woman. lol

"You have a big chest.... you must drink protein shakes?"
yep... i just drink protein shakes. It has nothing to do with the fact i bench heavy singles every week or do dips until i'm blue in the face...

OMeffingG, I get this one ALL. THE. TIME.

Also, after I lost about 100lbs, I've decided to re-focus my goals from weight loss to muscle building and I still get "how much more weight you gonna lose?" Grrrrr!!
  • I don't what is wrong with "where do you find the time?" Because I CANT!

"Are you going to come to my IT Works! wrap party?"

"No. You have been selling those things for 6 months now and you're exactly the same size. And stop linking that crap to my Facebook wall!"

Ahh, that reminds me of all the requests I got from friends trying to get me on Advocare supplements and the 24-day challenge. Is it 24 day or 21 day challenge? I don't know. Who the f cares.

Ugh can't stand all these. I have multiple people on my friends list trying to sell these.
  • confused because i am watching my calories and working out -- "but you're not fat"

When my extended family sees me eating carbs or junk or pasta or pretty much any delicious food "oh, you must be taking a break from your diet right now?"

    No. This is my diet.

i get that a lot too.

"no, i can eat this giant hamburger with all the fixings because i was out and back home from a 36 mile bike ride before you had your first cup of coffee."

this came from a 'trainer' at a gym I never went back to again:

'do you know that you are arching your back when you bench press?' me:

'How can you eat all of that and look like you do?' me: be a giant and lots of work

    and a lovely statement:

'you are as strong as a man but still look fit' me: :noway: uuuummm I don't see why one doesn't come with the other

My favorite.. "How do you run?!"

My answer.. "Well, i put one foot in front of the other, kind of like walkng..but a lot faster"

Hey, running ain't easy. Before I learned how I genuinely asked that question!

I haven't really been asked any dumb questions other than the general "How do you find the time."

Time machine - i totally have a time machine.

Q: "Have you lost more weight?"
A: "No, technically, I'm the same weight...just 4 sizes smaller."

Q: "How did you lose weight?"
A: "Again, technically, I'm the same weight. I'm 4 sizes smaller, b/c I lift heavy."

Just last week a co worker asked me about my lifting. I told her how much I could deadlift and she told me that I needed to be careful because I could twist my overies?????

She was dumfounded when I told her I was done with them anyway! LOLOLOLOL

"How do you find the time?" ALWAYS! The answer is I enjoy it, I MAKE time for it.
"How do you have the will power?"
"Are you calorie counting? That's not healthy...." This irks me to no end, yes I do. Trust me I eat quite a bit considering so feck off.
Not quite a question but "You are going to get an eating disorder and be super skinny like those anorexic women!" Yes, I will get smaller but no I won;t look like anorexic women because I want muscle.....

The eating disorder comment is highly ignorant to make in the first place because an eating disorder is majorly psychological.

It's more of a comment than a question, but people often comment on my arms then say something to the effect of "it's from carrying those big babies of yours. Mom muscles!" no, dumbass. If that was how I achieved these arms, then why don't your arms look better? you have kids too....

"How can you stand to eat healthy like you always seem to do?"

"Aren't you afraid of getting bulky?"

"Let me get a cart guy to get that 5 gallon bottle of water for you."
That's ok, I can get it.
"Are you sure? It's really heavy."

    "What's your secret?"

"How can you workout like you do? I can only manage to stick with it for a day if I'm lucky."
