Just like everybody always says that it's not a big deal if one overeats for one meal on occasion, it's also not a big deal to under eat for one. Add the tomato to your salad and tomorrow after shopping set some new rules regarding your food .
With all due respect, your family seems unorganized in that area and maybe you need to insist that they respect what you do.
    Good Luck !

What butt heads! Take one of their double beef burgers and eat it without the bun. You paid for it.

    Grow up.

    No seriously.

But ultimately, as crappy as the situation sounds, your whining instantly made me sympathize with your family.

    You're 21.

Then in a few years when she complains that she can't afford certain things because of loan payments MFP will tell her it was stupid to take out a loan.

If they didn't respond to your order you should have clarified. You know what they say about assuming.

Instead of assuming your family is out to spite you it sounds like a simple accident and if they didn't hear you order they probably got you a salad to be nice and with the assumption you would provide for yourself. It's not up to them to determine what you make for a week and I'd honestly always make an extra portion just in case something happens. Like you drop one or it gets mistaken for being old. Also labeling things with dates helps as does having a back up plan.

Why not just order delivery or go get something? Is your income very restricted?

    Oh well.

Student loans to pay for school.
Job money to pay for housing.
    Thousands do it.

I'm 21. I'm a student who studies from home, because I need to use all the money from the work I do to pay my books and study fees. My parents refuse to pay for it. So unless I go live on the street I can't move out.

They didn't pay for my food. I did.

They used the rest of my money to buy coke.

They comment on EVERYTHING I eat.

"You can't eat meat! It will make you bulky..."
"You can't eat that, it will make you fat!"

As I said she took MY food and fed it to the dog. There is dogfood in the house. Do you expect me to eat that? :-/

Yes I could go buy my own food. But it's a little despicable to take my money for your own use. And to decide FOR ME what I should and shouldn't eat.

Your family sounds like a bunch of *kitten*. You are 21 and old enough to tell them to pay you back the money they spent that was yours and that they don't control what you eat.

    1. If you don't like what's in the fridge, buy your own damn groceries.

    2. Your family is not obligated to feed you.

    3. Your response to your sister's mistake is just sad. Seriously.

Go to the grocery store. Buy some ingredients to make yourself a meal that fits your goals for the day, and move on with your life.

    Christ.

What I'm wondering is why the OP had to stay behind for laundry. Does OP handwash laundry? I mean, I put mine in the washing machine, then the dryer and it takes at least two hours to wash and dry a full load ...
