    I'm with some of the others. I adore my children, but it would be nice to have some time to myself to do whatever I want to do and then a dinner with my husband without constant "MommY!" "Daddy" "I don't want to eat that." "Great, now the baby's fussing."

    I kind of always wanted a mother's ring .. so that's what I would like to get. But I'm just getting him a mushy love card, and I got a $25 dollar gift certificate to this restaurant, and we're going to do something fun like go to Hollywood Connection or Boondocks ..something we have never done before together.

    I agree! Well said. BUT, we need to add that the beach is on some tropical island and not where it is cold right now. Plus, we need to add that we have both reached our goal weight! :-)

    I'm pretty simple..I want my children to disappear to alternative dimension where they can be in suspended animation. alive, well and inert. And then I want my husband and I poofed to a beach naked. Fun will ensue. Drinks would be nice but not necessary. For at least 48 hours.

    I want to go to Wyoming for the weekend to visit my future inlaws and make homemade sausage all weekend...oh, right. That's not what I want but that's what I'm getting. :laugh:

    This is hilarious. And a real attitude adjustment: My husband will be traveling for work this year, but at least I don't have to make sausage with my mother-in-law. In one fell swoop, he wrecked my Christmas present to him (concert tix for 2/13), actual Val's day, and our makeup Val's day, because he has cancelled our dinner tomorrow night because he has to finish a project before he leaves for Hawaii. Did I mention he often works in Hawaii? Yeah, so he's gonna do that while I freeze my *kitten* off in Portland with our two sassy preteen boys. So that seems fair. LOL Ah, well, he works real hard for us and I am crazy in love with his dumb skinny *kitten*.

    Ladybug, I wish you a wonderful day with your husband. You deserve it.

    Actually we don't have much money this year so we agreed not to buy anything and instead to stay home and have a nice dinner with the kids in bed.. Well my husband came home today with the most Beautiful bracelet! Its a continuous row of amethyst hearts with diamond accents. Where he got the money I don't know but he wouldn't spend money we don't have.. He gave it to me today so that technically he wasnt violating the "no v day presents" rule. :) I'm so happy!!

    Ok, I loved the idea of sending a card in the mail so I just did this morning. Its funny how many of you ladies want a HRM but again this is a fitness site. Thanks for the responses.
