    Finally starting to see some results! I think it is because my knee has healed enough to allow me to jog. And my back isn't tweaked so much that I can't lift weights. I really hope to hit my mini-goal on Feb 28, but it isn't too important because I am starting P90X on March 1 and that is where I will see the most results!! I am taking a sneak peek of the exercises and I was so sore yesterday it was crazy!

    FINALLY PASSED MY PRE-CHRISTMAS WEIGHT! Yay!!!! Of course, my liquid only foods this past week had some to do with that, but it was lots of mashed potatoes, soup and oatmeal, aka lots of sodium.. but that's ok, my body needed a switch up anyway ;)

    Yea! Headed in the right direction again. Yesterday DH & I had a meeting with a personal trainer (we joined the YMCA in Jan. and you get 4 free sessions when you join). After they filled out all the questionaire part, they had us hold this little thing that measures your body fat %. It said that I was at 28% and recommended for a woman is between 17% and 25%. Not too bad there! My hubby asked for a caliper test which tends to be more accurate in calculating bf%. His was RADICALLY different! The machine said 30%, but the caliper test said about 18%!:noway: Just a BIT of a difference! We have another session set up in May (that will give us a chance to change some of those numbers!). I'm thinking I may ask for the caliper test at that point, also. I was pretty impressed with my results. I'm still not really big on the whole weight lifting thing, but I know that I need to start doing that. There are just too many benefits. I'm gonna suck it up and just do it! Soon:blushing:

    Last week I went to Zumba 3 times. I usually do twice a week, but because of a cancellation in my schedule on Thursday (and my decision to not let someone else bring me down) I made a third class. Hopefully, barring unforseen events, I will make 3 classes again this week. I'm also thinking about doing a step class that is right before Zumba, but my glutes are still so sore from Saturday I'm not sure I could do a step class! But I'll give it a shot!

    Thanks. I love MFP! It has really helped me see that my portions are way out of control. It also helps that I don't have to calculate everything, lots are already there to pick from. I hope for success.... I've tried everything.

    I had a stupid day on Saturday (all day chess tournament for one of my sons, was late and didn't pack food so we were at the mercy of the concessions) and am hoping it was mostly salt. I had been doing well before that. Next week!

    I am Happy Happy Happy with this loss :flowerforyou: . I meet my goal for calories burned as well as weight loss. I can get my pedicure this week (my weekly reward).

    Down another 2.5 lbs, and it feels great! I went away for the weekend with some girlfriends, and I got in a workout and watched my portion sizes and it payed off! This new healthier me feels great!!!

    Keep feeling positive everyone, this is a lifestyle change that won't happen overnight, but will add years of happiness to our lives!!!

    Today, I had to stay after school because there is a home basketball game, and I direct the band. I live 30 minutes from school, and it just doesn't make sense to drive all the way home and back. Well, the librarian (who I've become pretty good friends with this year) is starting a zumba class using the DVDs a couple days a week after school. It's for staff and students. I had told her I'd do it, but I forgot that today was the first day! I thought about backing out, but I just couldn't leave her in there with 6 students and no other adults. So I got my Zumba on in my work clothes! Luckily I had on my band t-shirt, but I had on dress pants. I have extra t-shirts I can change into, but I'm still gonna be a bit ripe. Oh well. It was fun. Nextr problem, I've eaten everything I brought with me for dinner and still have 1000 calories left! I have easy mac (kept here for the kids), pb&j (kids again), and concession stand as my choices. "Good me" says pb&j. "Bad me" says WALKING TACO! I'll let you know which one wins!

    Not sure if I am going to get to weigh in this week. My scale (Wii) is broken :( and have not gotten to the gym. Been running out with the warmer weather. Might try on Friday at the gym. Looks like everyone is doing great this week, keep it up!
