I have not weighed yet this week. Wasn't feeling well Monday, and then today I awoke to more snow:ohwell: , which meant I needed to leave the house earlier than usual in order to make it to work on time. I will get it done tomorrow morning.

I went to the doc yesterday because the sinus pain and pressure were almost unbearable even with the help of modern pharmacuticals (which I had to practically sign my life away just to obtain OTC!) He says, "Another sinus infection. Here's an antibiotic and a script for a steriod." Oh goody. So I am on prednizone, again. Have I mentioned that I HATE prednizone? Although when I was on it before Christmas I managed to not gain weight on it, so here's to hoping that I can do it again!

We got out of school at 1:00 this afternoon, so I was able to make it home before TOO much fell. Although I did have to wade thru a knee high drift to get to my front door! We are alwo out of school tomorrow. I am considering packing myself and the kids into to town tomorrow when hubby goes to work. If I do that, I MAY be able to get the kids to the YMCA for a swim and some supervised play time while I'm not supervising them! We'll see. If the drift around the cars is too big, we may not be going anywhere! I like winter, and I like snow, but these Tuesday snowpocolypsis need to STOP!

Looks like on average we are doing good this week! Keep up the good work!

I blame the alcohol I had on Sunday. I drank WAY more than is normal for me, and I'm STILL dehydrated today in spite of upping my water. Moving on -- NO more alcohol. It just isn't worth it (in many, many ways... )

Ok, I am TIRED! My back hurts, and I am too weak to push my 40 lb 3 yo son off of me. Zumba was GOOD tonight! It felt GREAT to sweat my frustration out. I had a pretty yucky day at work today. I left school, bundled my kids up, and sent them out to play in the snow. I SERIOUSLY considred not going to Zumba. I had a bad day. That gives me the right to sit at home and wallow, doesn't it? It usually would have. But today I turned an important corner. I chose to NOT let one person's actions affect my whole life! I will not give her the power to ruin the rest of my life. She may create issues for me at school, but I will deal with those AT SCHOOL. She will NOT cause me to have to beg people to get my size 12 clothes back! I will not give her that power.

This is NOT the usual me. Usually I would've sat at home, feeling sorry for myself, watched TV, and eaten the rest of the brownies from yesterday (1/2 a pan!). I want everyone to like me, and even though I intellectually know this will never happen, it's still what I want! Finding out someone DOESN'T like me is a blow that would've caused me to eat until I felt better. (Except I really wouldn't feel better, I'd just be in a sugar coma.)

So, as you can see, chosing Zumba tonight was a big step for me. Thank you msh0530 for listening to me. (I was really missing Mom, so I called my other Mom. Thanks, I love you!)

Just remember, endorphins are GOOD! It certainly helped pull me out of my funk. (Of course the good looking male instructor helped some, too!:blushing: ) Keep working, and don't let ANYONE (even yourself) make you stop!

You are most welcome, and love you too. Glad to hear you survived. Remember, the people that are important to you like you, and no, you don't have to be liked by everyone to have self worth!

Lisa - Kudos to you for turning that corner! So glad you decided to put YOURSELF before letting someone else get you down. Who cares is someone else doesn't like you. They apparently don't like themselves. And the most important part of this entire journey is loving yourself and ALWAYS putting yourself first & foremost. Congrats to you for making the correct choice! :flowerforyou:

Finally starting to see some results! I think it is because my knee has healed enough to allow me to jog. And my back isn't tweaked so much that I can't lift weights. I really hope to hit my mini-goal on Feb 28, but it isn't too important because I am starting P90X on March 1 and that is where I will see the most results!! I am taking a sneak peek of the exercises and I was so sore yesterday it was crazy!

Yea! Headed in the right direction again. Yesterday DH & I had a meeting with a personal trainer (we joined the YMCA in Jan. and you get 4 free sessions when you join). After they filled out all the questionaire part, they had us hold this little thing that measures your body fat %. It said that I was at 28% and recommended for a woman is between 17% and 25%. Not too bad there! My hubby asked for a caliper test which tends to be more accurate in calculating bf%. His was RADICALLY different! The machine said 30%, but the caliper test said about 18%!:noway: Just a BIT of a difference! We have another session set up in May (that will give us a chance to change some of those numbers!). I'm thinking I may ask for the caliper test at that point, also. I was pretty impressed with my results. I'm still not really big on the whole weight lifting thing, but I know that I need to start doing that. There are just too many benefits. I'm gonna suck it up and just do it! Soon:blushing:

Last week I went to Zumba 3 times. I usually do twice a week, but because of a cancellation in my schedule on Thursday (and my decision to not let someone else bring me down) I made a third class. Hopefully, barring unforseen events, I will make 3 classes again this week. I'm also thinking about doing a step class that is right before Zumba, but my glutes are still so sore from Saturday I'm not sure I could do a step class! But I'll give it a shot!
  • I have only been doing mfp for one week, so I really need something like this to help keep me going. I will try to keep up....

    I weighed yesterday... 285

  • Thanks. I love MFP! It has really helped me see that my portions are way out of control. It also helps that I don't have to calculate everything, lots are already there to pick from. I hope for success.... I've tried everything.
