  • so many great ideas! I love to make it quick and simple:

    1 can tuna
couple of stalks of celery chopped( i like to add alot!)
    1 can cannelini beans
2 tablespoons of a low cal dressing or plain vinegar
    mix and enjoy!

I like to alternate cans of tuna with cans of salmon.

Actually, I have found one of the greatest ways I eat it is to drain off all of the water and and add some lemon pepper, I also like to add hot sauce. I have found that the sealed packets are so much better. Good luck...

    Low Carb Tuna Patties

    1 6oz can of tuna

½ cup low fat or fat free cottage cheese

    1 whole egg

    chopped green onions if desired

    salt and pepper

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and form into small flat patties. Meanwhile, heat a non-stick skillet and spray with cooking spray. Lay patty on the grill and cook over medium heat until browned on one side. Flip over and continue to cook the other side.

    Serve with ketchup if preferred.

    i found this at http://hubpages.com/hub/Tasty_Ways_To_Eat_Canned_Tuna

i substituted the cottage cheese with panko bread crumbs. when i made it the calories came out to 400, but there are about 2.5 servings in this recepie

I like to mix tuna with a bit of 1 tbsp mayo, mustard, sweet relish, salt and pepper. Then I eat it with some crackers like a dip. Very yummy!

I will sometimes take a can of tuna and drain it and add some chopped tomato and onion. I will then take a fat free Italian dressing and mix it all. I then eat it with a fat free cracker.

Buy the white albacore instead of regular. It only costs a few cents (5-10 in my store) more, but it has much better flavor.

On the hungry girl episode today, on the cooking channel, she mixed it with a tablespoon of salsa and served it on one of the large, plain, rice cakes. I thought that looked fabulous and will be trying it this week especially since I just recently found Newmans Own salsa that is like 30 calories for 2 tablespoons and 65mg sodium.

I mix tuna with finely chopped red pepper, green onions and fresh dill, then just enough mayonnaise to bind it. It winds up being about half vegetable.

Yum! I add mine to my spinach salads as well!
