Didn't do so well on the March challenge. But I'm changing things up and am really going for it this month. The weather warming up is definitely a motivator! And not necessarily because of bikini's (even at skinny I don't think I will ever wear one, too naked feeling!!) There's just something in the air that smells of new and happy and change! good weigh in today, only 0.6 up from my good tuesday weighin of 219.6! so all is well. good start to april! hope to drop 7 lbs again this month.
im being extra careful w/ calories today. its become tradition for me and my mum (who is also losing weight and is down 12 lbs since christmas!) to get an icecream on friday afternoons when she picks me up from my dorm to go home for the weekend. its our weekly treat. but i always forget to factor it into my food for the day, and i nearly always end up going over into the red! not a great start to the weekend!
BTW, my mum is recovering from a brain tumor about 5 years ago. she's in remission thankfully, but she ended up somehow with back troubles after a few falls - i think from balance issues due to the tumor? im not sure. anyway, she gained alot of weight past few years being limited in activity due to pain. my dad booked him and my mum a weeks holiday to New York (SO JEALOUS!) in january for 24th april in a few weeks. so she wanted to lose weight for that, and shes lost nearly a stone.
the difference is amazing! her stomach has gone way down. im always telling her now how skinny she's getting!
we have the same body shape - tall, broad shoulders, wide-ish hips. ive seen her at her thinnest, and while it is by no means stick thin, its slim and defined. so, hopefully ill look like that!0 -

Hello! I've already joined another "lose 5 pounds in April" challenge, but I like the weekly challenges here as well, and could definitely stand to work more veggies into my day.
Goal weight 4/30: 166 - or a comfortable size 10, whichever happens first!
