Is it too late to join the challenge?? This sounds perfect for me! Last weigh-in I was 228.5, but have had a few bad, non-logging days and am a little afraid to step back on the scale and see if any damage was done. OK, just weighed in and am up 1/2 pound to 229. The week ahead is full of challenges--after work baseball games to watch 2 nights a week, and a friends wedding this weekend (me in a strapless formal dress--YIKES!!!). Getting in the exercise and water could be tough, but this is the kind of challenge that will make me really work for it.

    Week One:
    Well everyone,
week one didn't go over so well for me. I was on spring break but I stuck to my diet and I got my 8 glasses of water everyday. However I only worked out for 357 minutes or about 2000 calories based on MFP calculators. However I was outside in the heat from around 4-9 hours a day if that counts for anything. But I'm home this week so week 2 will be much better than week 1.
Oh and and at my weigh in I'm down to 139 pounds!!!

Here is my results for day seven, week one.
    - I did 20 minutes of 2.5 walking outside and according to MFP, I burned 66 calories.
    - My strength training lasted for 1 minute. According to MFP, I burned 4 calories.
    - I only got in 6 glasses of water.
Total: 21 minutes. 20 minutes is cardio and 1 minutes is strength.

    chickadee's week one progress:
    Total Minutes: 521
    Cardio Minutes: 405
    Strength Minutes: 106
    Water: 55 glasses

I ran out of water in my water jug, and I don't like drinking tap water, so I only got in 6 glasses.

Wow....it looks like everyone had a great week!

I was AWOL over the weekend--visiting family who don't have a computer.

    For Friday:
    40 minutes on the elliptical
    25 minutes-Bosu Core training

Saturday-spent 4.5 hours walking around Ikea shopping. So no formal exercising.

    Sunday
    27 minutes-walking
68 minutes-biking...probably could count that as strength training as well as I was riding against a 30 mph wind. My legs and core were working like crazy just to stay upright and moving forward.

So my totals for the week were
655 minutes and 5934 calories burned.

I made my 8 glasses of water 5 out of the 7 days so that is my weakspot!

Keep up the good work everyone!

    Hi All,

    Everyone is doing great!

My totals for the week are:

396 minutes total (3301 cals from MFP)

    Cardio = 251 minutes
    Strength training = 145 minutes

I was sucessful with my water level at 8+ glasses, but still need 2 more today to reach my 8. Hopefully, I will be able to do more this coming week.

Such awesome results everyone is posting from their first week, even those who may not quite have made it to the requirements! I am impressed at the seriousness you all put into taking on this challenge. Truly it will be you who benefits from what you put into this! Super job everyone!

Week 2 begins tomorrow!!! I am pretty sure that if you just proved to yourself that you could do this, in week 1, then there is no reason not to continue right into week 2. Keep it up everyone, make yourselves proud!

I didn't make the goal this week but I did about 250 minutes more exercise than I normally do in a week so I'm really proud of that and determined to meet the 350 this week! I did really well on my water the first half of the week but weekends are always hard for me since my schedule is so off, I don't think I made my water yesterday or today. Here are my totals for the week:

    Cardio: 145
    Strength: 15
    Other: 110

    Total: 270

I did not do as well as I wanted to do this week. Drinking 8 glasses of water was my biggest challenge and I only averaged about 4 glasses per day. I stuck to eating 1200 calories or less each day and I exercised for 364 mins this week. I burned about 2,713 calories. I went to the gym 4 times and did a combination of elliptical, treadmill, stairs, yoga class, and spinning classes. For week #2 I plan on going to the gym 5 days and reaching the 8 glasses of water per day. Good luck to everyone :)

New day/New week! I didnt log food/exercise over the weekend. But, between the sleepover with 8 girls 10 or under and shopping and preparing for my daughter's birthday., I think I got my extra 7 minutes of cardio I needed according to my tracker. Food and calories in may be another story.... :( MY water consumption was a little short over the weekend as well.

I didnt get up and go to the gym this morning so I will need to do that tonight. If not the gym maybe the Squat challenge I have been thinking about. That is something I can do at home and will give me some strength training time until I get to the gym tomorrow morning. Finishing my coffee and then its on to water. I am going to get these 8 glasses in, if it drowns me...

    Have a great week!

Well, Amber, you did make your minutes goal for exercise and you were pretty close to getting the water in through the week! I think you should think about what you accomplished and not what you didn't. You did great and I will look forward to seeing what you bring this week.

I might have a hard time meeting the goals this week because I have to taper ... taper means rest.
Rest is not something I do very well.. :)

    5 days until the halfmarathon!
