Rocky Mountain Oysters!! They're delicious. Where my relatives ranch is there is a bar that has them as their specialty. So wish you could find them where I am.0

Having spent quite a bit of time in Indonesia, a few weird things I've had there would be - horse satay and crispy fried shark skin, jellyfish,0

I had this dish at a Filipino party. I don't know the name of it but it was chocolate pig's blood over white rice!0

WHOA! Balut? Balut is hardcore! That totally outranks my answer: chicken knee yakitori.
ETA: to the OP - i respect not wasting parts of the animal. that said, i am TOTALLY de-sensitized to those things, since I too am Asian.
Oh but the weirdest thing I've seen in Chinatown is Armadillo. I immediately called my Mother and asked her if she had seen that before and she said NO.0 -

Heather75 you just crack me up! :laugh:0 -
Funny story about Rocky Mountain Oysters... I worked at a fishing resort, and some guests came up to me smirking like 10 year old boys. They asked me to try one, and I asked what it was. They looked disappointed when I asked if it was anything like our "prairie oysters". Then I grabbed one and took a bite. They were pretty impressed that even after seeing through their trickery, I'd still eat one. Not very tasty, though.
I think the strangest thing I've ever eaten is cod tongues, in Newfoundland. It's just what it sounds like: fish tongues, deep-fried and breaded. Pretty darn tasty, too!0 -
Squid...0

Shan - Gator is yummy! I have only had it Cajun style as well0

Chocolate covered ants and chocolate covered grasshoppers when I was in high school. We would also nibble on dog Milk Bones.
OMG!!! Can't believe I did that....crazy huh? but I was only 14 at the time. LOL!0 -
Manda. - I think it's how they're prepared. The bar I like serves them deep fried and have a great batter.0

I too have had rocky mountain oysters. I had a class is high school that castrated and then fried em right up so everyone could try it. Surprisingly, they weren't that bad!
I also was dared to eat a gummy bear that a friend found under a bench in the hallway in high school. Pretty GROSS...but what can I say? I took my dares seriously back then! Haha...0 -
Chocolate covered grasshopper (of course my grandmother is a jerk and didn't tell me what I was eating till after, lol...)0
-
Yes! Jellyfish for me, too.
It's a Korean side dish and I didn't even know what it was until after I ate it... very squeaky and rubbery.0 -

Well when I was a baby, my mom put me on the grass and I crawled over and ate a piece of dog poop. Does that count? Other than that...I got nothing! .....
I did eat a very weird veggie this winter that came in my CSA box.....called Romanesco. It was new and strange and weird to me. but very tasty!0 -

-
A sour cream and onion dusted grasshopper. It was a dare and I was broke.0

Hmmm............crickets, deep fried whole frogs, intestine, spleen. Travel to Thailand introduced me to many new flavors.........most of them good. ;-)0

stinkiest: kim chee
weirdest: probably Opihi, (limpets), a Hawaiian delicacy. They didn't light me up, but they are expensive and so I was honored to have them shared with me.
my family has Hawaiian and Chinese in it, so we have eaten a lot of stuff that would seem outlandish.
I gave my husband a taste of dried cuttlefish (yummy to me!) and he spit it out and said "Ugh, Why would you make me put cat food in my mouth!?" LOL0 -
