Made the mistake of getting on the scale last night after a 'free day' for Thanksgiving. No frickin way you gain that much in a day. Ran an angry 7.7 miles today.

Gabbo, I hear you....I pigged out yesterday and then was shocked when I stepped on the scale...wow! I have some work to do....(I know it's mostly water weight, but I was realllly motivated to run today. Lol)

I got in a quick 3 today. Felt pretty good considering I now am lugging around a 20 pound turkey. Ha.

I'm getting a visit from the family tomorrow - will have to get up really, really early to clean up the apartment, because I didn't feel like doing it today and used the time between work and meeting people for cocktails for a run instead... It was a nice run, but I bet I'll regret it (well, not only the run, but also the drinks ) when the go-do-housework-alarm rings in 6 hours!

Sorry about the asthma. My daughter has asthma so when she told me she wanted to run cross country I talked to her pulmonologist and he said definitely. That was 2 years ago and it has helped her so much and she hasn't had an attach in about 1.5 years. She used Asmanex for about 3 years and for the past has been completedly off it.
I forgot to mention that running definitely helps. My doctor told me that exercise actually forces the airways to open, and prevents scar tissue from forming in the lungs. I think I need to be on something else for the time being but I'm playing back and forth with the doctor's office and insurance company.

thru 11/29, 17 runs, 116 miles. Goal was 100 with hope for 110+. Only disappointment is not getting enough other w/o's in at the gym. After tomorrow only 22 w/o's for the month so need to get back to 6 per week in total. But total miles for year are 1,255 which is the best I've done since 2008 and considering my age, a very good sign. Next goal is possibly to train for a half in February running sub 1:40. Not like the old days of 1:27 but it is still a good goal if my chiro doesn't balk too much at the plan.
Really appreciate these monthly threads. 17 straight 100+ months is at least partially due to the motivation of reporting back here. Thanks.0 -

My garmin tells me I have 1.21 miles to get to my 70 mile goal for this month so will do a couple of miles in the morning to reach my goal.
Had a nice 5 mile run this morning to bring my total to 68.79 done.
Have really enjoyed this thread and I'm looking forward to joining Decembers running challenge and upping my Goal to 80 miles.

A sick child will probably keep me from meeting my mileage goal this month. Oh weel, kid's are more important. Managed my longest run since the marathon today while my daughter was with her father. 10+ miles doesn't even seem like a decent long run anymore!
