I'd like to see phrases like these eliminated:
    "eat all the/teh foods/z"
"there is so much 'no' in this post/thread"
    And replaced with:
    "eat what you want"
"I do not believe this/these statement(s) are factual"

Also, talking about menstruating in a public forum and then getting upset when men chime in. Find a private way of messaging to talk about your flow if men can't get in the conversation.

Oh, and when people do this ("^^^^this^^^^" or "^^^yes")

What I find funny is the ones who are upset about what others want banned. It will not happen, so don't get your feelings hurt when people want to ban the same phrases you use regularly. You set yourself up for that disappointment when you opened this thread.

people that complain, just to complain.

says the guy that accounts for half of the comments in this thread.

    Might have been said, but...

I do/don't do _________ due to _________ "documentary" said so.

-Posts alternative recipe to traditional pasta dish, but still uses the original name of said dish-

"THAT'S NOT REAL SPAGHETTI/LASAGNA/PIZZA, AND MY DEAD ITALIAN GRANDMOTHER WOULD BE ROLLING IN HER GRAVE"
That bugs me, too. Also, "that's not beer". Yes, a young man in maintenance can drink stronger beer and eat more pasta and larger burritos than small, dieting women. It doesn't really seem like much of a bragging point but I guess we all have to find things we're proud of.

I'm really starting to hate the word 'deficit' and the phrase 'eat at a deficit and you'll lose" - so I'd like to add those to the banned list ;)

    ...

    while we're at it!

let's ban words like CALORIES! and EXERCISE! and and and i know! FOOD!

I personally would prefer to eat less fudge than I used to, but still eat a bit of fudge rather than a 'light' substitute.

But it really, really pees me off when someone posts a recipe or deliberates about what snack to spend their spare calories on, a 6ft tall man who's bulking remarks 'I ate a bucket of chicken and 2 tubs of lard flavoured ice cream today' or 'I ate your daily calorie allowance for breakfast lololol'. Thanks for useful information, ballbag.

I imagine dieters commenting on the weight gain section that they wish they could eat as much as them are annoying though.

However, not all of us can work a whole stout-infused shredded pig into our calories for the day.

No, I thought this thread was about phrases we're tired of seeing over and over again.

    "Bad"
    • Is "xx" food bad for weight loss?
    • I missed my macros. Is this bad?
    • Sugar/fat/sodium/bugaboo du jour is bad.
    • I ate xx calories over budget. Is this bad?

I know that a lot of this is from people who don't have a good grasp of the fundamentals of weight loss. Many of us have fumbled with this, so it's hard to blame the posters. Still makes me cringe when I see it though.

Except for light beer. That really is bad.

Once upon a time I saw a play about scientists researching menstruation (not the weirdest play I've seen, or even close) and the program had a bunch of euphemisms used in various times and places. My favorites were "the English have arrived" and "there are Communists in the funhouse." (TOM requires less explanation, though.)

Bwahahaha - communists in the funhouse... new favorite! Previous favorite? "Riding the cotton pony"... hehe

Can't believe nobody has said "Arts and crafts week at panty camp"

Loose. You do not loose weight. You LOSE weight.

Loose = not firmly fastened or fixed in place.
Lose = to experience a reduction in something such as weight or heat

No more loosing weight next year, okay people?

I have my period. What do I do now?!

I was waiting to see how long it would take for this one!! I have seen posts from women in their 30's and 40's posting this.

Can't everyone who is as confused as a 12 year old girl just join a private group and wail and moan together??

New year, new me! And yes, I am guilty of that one...just not willing to say it anymore. Oh, and picking a specific date on the calendar to start working out. "I'll start on the 1st of March when the gym is less crowded".
