    Just for today, I will
    1. Log everything I eat
    2. Track my steps (goal is 10,000).
  • Love this!

    Today I will:
    -walk for at least 30 minutes
    -drink at least 8-10 glasses of 8 oz water

  • Did not get my full 8 of water today but went to doctor today and lost 3 pounds since my last visit 6 weeks ago Sure made me feel good!!!
    So tomorrow my 3 goals
    1. Get my full 8 waters in.
    2. Document everything
    3. Go outside and attempt walking first lap at school. Will be my first full lap since surgery

    Jan. 6th
    I will drink more water, at least 6 glasses but will aim for 8. Didn't quite make it today.
    I will exercise at least 30 min. today. only did 30 min. on bike but did defrost my chest type freezer, and that was a lot of work!
    I will stay within my calories (done)
    I will try to get as close as possible to 10,000 steps today. Due to my lack of regular exercise only got in 5500.
    On Tuesdays I go quilting all morning so do a lot of sitting which means not nearly so many steps.

    I love this idea! I hope you don't mind my joining! So here is my first entry:

    Jan. 7, 2015: Just for Today I will....

    1. Log every morsel I put in my mouth.
    2. Drink 100 oz of water
    3. Do a combination of ab and oblique work to equal 100

    1/6/15: Just for today I will go read a book and leave the chips alone. Tomorrow I will read the book on the elliptical for fifteen minutes.

    3. Make smart and healthy food choice

    1. I will drink at least 3 bottles of water.
    2. I will log everything I eat.
    3. I will stick to two cups of coffee.
    4. I will refrain from indulging in the chocolate in the fridge that's currently calling my name.

    Did all this except number 1, only got in two bottles.

    Just for today...(1/7)
    1. I will remain under my calories.
    2. I will log everything I eat.
    3. I will stay under my fat limit for the day.
    4. I will have a large serving of veggies.

    2. looking for an hour of cardio tonight :) 45 minutes is good on the elliptical for someone who 2 months ago didn't even know how to use one!

    I really appreciate everyone here. Starting fresh each day is keeping me from dwelling on my slip ups and focusing more on what I can do better now.

    Yesterday, 1/6
    1. NO SODA TODAY!! This will be hard, but I am really going to work on stopping the diet soda. :):):) Did not drink any soda, but had hot chocolate instead. Not a good choice though, as it added 300 calories to my day, and I think led to binge eating at nite :'(
    2. Drink MORE water! :) I already have drank 4 glasses! Off to a better start :):) DId drink a lot of water
    3. Log Every bit that I eat :\ No - can't even remember what I ate!
    4. Attempt to do at least 20 minutes on the ellipitical! Our unheated patio room is cold where I keep our ellipitical, but while getting dinner ready tonite, need to get out there!! :'(
    5. Do not get discouraged! The weight did not come on overnite, it won't come off overnite. Persistence! :'(

    Yesterday was NOT my best day. Way overate in the evenings - started out with just one bowl of ice cream, which led to another bowl, a small bag of chips, almonds. So upset with myself. But -- today is a fresh start.

    SO... Just for today

    1. DO not get discouraged. One day at a time. Do not let yesterdays eating turn into another day of mindless eating.
    2. Look for a low - calorie item on the menu when eating out tonite with my friend. We are eating at a Mexican Restaurant - so choose something healthy.
    3. Drink water
    4. Walk around the mall to get in my walking after eating out tonite.


    Good luck to everyone! It is so bitterly cold here - I will be so happy when it starts to warm up! Even our patio room, where I keep my ellipitical is 20 degrees! (its 12 degrees outside :'(

    I have a crazy night of kids activities - but will eat a healthy dinner instead of fast food
  • Just for today...
    • I will consume between 1500 and 1650 calories (all Paleo).
    • Take a 30 minute fast-paced walk.
    • Alternate between water and Slimming Oolong Tea (from pinuptea.com) all day. (about a gallon of liquid total)
    • Sleep for at least 6 hours.

    • Avoid soda, as I have since New Year's Day
    • Get my workout in (may even do a double!)
    • Log what I eat
    • Drink at least 8 glasses of water

    This is fabulous :)

    Just for today, Jan 7, 2015, I will:
    1. Use *both* of my 15 minute breaks at work to walk.
    2. Keep it to one glass of wine.
    3. Remember that it took me 2 1/2 years to gain 40 pounds, it'll take more than 3 days of working out to lose it....not to mention the other 40....

    I love this idea. I need to get back on track this year. On January 5 I began to concentrate again on eating right. My motto was "One day at a time." So 2 days of good eating, logging and exercising. Today, so far so good. I don't have time to write my goals for today but I want to come back to this.

    I would LOVE to join in! I need the support and accountability - when I am sitting alone in the evening or restless at home, its too easy for me to 'grab' something and not be accountable. I am currently coming off recovery from surgery, so I have not been able to work out for almost a month. Its been difficult and I am noticing the weight in my clothes and around my tummy.
    - Just for today, I will only drink tea or water this evening after dinner. NO EXCUSES!!!

    1. I will STOP beating myself up over the extra weight
    2. I will just push PLAY and get it done!
    3. I will stick to my eating plan (and quit thinking I'm hungry when I'm not)

    2. I will be positive about the changes that I am making
    3. I will do 60 mins of Zumba and love how hard it is
