Struggles or successes of your week: Well I could be discouraged by my small loss but I'm not. I weighed myself halfway through the week and was down to 151.8. I've picked up the weights in the last couple days (didn't exceed calorie goal this week) and now I'm up again. I'm chalking this up to water retention and believe I'm really in the 151-152 range. Yay!0 -

Five days into doing the Daniel Fast with my church. So far I have not had any cravings for sweets or meats or any of the other "off the list" stuff. Have been eating up my veggies, fruits, and grains with enthusiasm. LOL!0 -

This week my sodium intake was far higher then normal and I suspect it's water weight then actual gaining weight. The higher the sodium the more water your body holds onto. It's such a pain.

I have been to the gym everyday this week..walked 30 miles, started C210K, and 5 strength training sessions. ..and the scale moves up. On one hand I am not suprised. ..it fluxiates daily and by whole pounds. On the other hand I want the numbers to reflect the hard work that I have put forth. I will hold on and keep the battle going..0 -

Struggles or successes of your week: I have been doing pretty good on cutting back on my carbs and eating more protein, fruits and veggies. I haven't had too many processed foods either. I joined a challenge at my gym...12 Week Transformation Challenge. I had my testing done Tuesday (upper and lower body strength, flexibility, endurance, heart rate, blood pressure and body fat). I will get weekly emails with meals and grocery lists that I can use totally or just fit what I can into my week. The main goal is to introduce things into my diet that I may not be thinking about trying and developing healthier eating habits. I will still meet with my trainer on Wed/Fri mornings but this is just giving me a little more motivation.0 -

Struggles or successes of your week: Happy to finally see the scale budge (even though I have still been up and down, which is frustrating). I've worked out almost everyday this week, which is a miracle for me! I still need to tighten up my eating though - even though I'm staying under my calories, I'm not making the healthiest decisions and am still giving into cravings and eating when I'm not really hungry.

Struggles or successes of your week: Exercise was my issue for the weekend and on Sun night realized I needed to post to the 100 mile chart and didn't have really have anything to post. Gave myself a chewing out, renewed my commitment to me to be healthy and on Tues was 164, 1 pound snuck back on but that's ok. Have been doing my exercises every evening. For me it's about doing the right thing - exercise and water - these are the 2 things I've added this month and water is tough for me. But perseverance pays off0 -

Struggles or successes of your week: Bummed that I gained this week, but 2 steps forward, 1 step back, right? Weight loss isn't always linear. I've been eating a lot but exercising a TON, spinning sometimes 2x/day. Have been at a 700-1000 cal deficit according to my exercise armband, burning 3000 cal/day total. I changed my calorie goal to 1200 to see if that makes a difference. I'd like to think I'm gaining muscle, because how can I gain weight at this deficit but while still eating 1700-2000 cal and burning 3000? But there's not that much muscle involved in spinning. I'm upping my veggie intake and lowering starches etc. Also going trying to avoid those foods like nuts, which I grab unconsciously but add up, and are salty. I think I'll also try adding strength training this week.0 -
