This thread is one in which a new fitness and dietary challenge is posted each week. The challenges begin on Monday. Lets keep this rolling!

Here are the challenges/format to post for this week: (ANY one can join in at ANY time!)

FITNESS CHALLENGE:
A pound of body fat equals 3500 calories. Let’s see if we can lose 1 lb of fat through exercise. So, the goal this week is to burn 3500 calories. Remember, just try your best, do what your body can handle.


DIETARY CHALLENGE:
Stay Under your Fat Goal (MFP or Personal, you decide) __________________________________________________________________________________________

    Are we also going to post the weight we lost at the end of the week?

    I am in. not sure I will burn 3500 or not. Not sure if my elliptical at hoem measures cals properly. At the gym i burn about 200 in 15 mins and at home I burn 100 in 25 mins. I guess 1 is wrong not sure which though

    Sweet! Sounds great!! I tried to get to 3500 calories last week with another group, and made it to 2937... I worked out 6 times, and with one more, I'm SURE I would have made it! :tongue: :laugh:

    I'll give it a go... though 3500 calories is a LOT for me - i usually get about 2000 on a good week. (3 zumba classes and some walking)

    Eek - didn't do the best last week (didn't get many workouts in and then stopped counting the portions) BUT - I am IN for this week! Even when I don't meet the challenge, I appreciate having little goals in mind that help with my overall awareness of health and fitness. Yay for new weeks and being able to start over!
