    @runningmischka - Beautiful picture! So clear compared to the sonograms of my kids 21 years ago!
    @skippygirlsmom - yay! I bet it felt great to run again! That probably felt like forever to you, but to me it seems like you just stopped.
    @mandster - I'm counting the .1s :wink:
    @fabnine and @lonewolfrunner - frozen eye lashes? wow, I can't even comprehend that. You all amaze me. My daughter lives in NYC and she is running too, but a combination of treadmill and outside. Since she was born and raised in FL, it's quite a shock. When she comes home for SB next month she'll probably think it's the tropics here.
    @rebeccawimert - welcome! Yes, this is a very inspiring group. I never would have increased my mileage without it. You have lots of NE people on here, but I'm in Florida so I don't get to complain until June-September.

    Feb 1 - 27 mile bike ride.
    Feb 2 - 3 miles
    Feb 3 - strength training
    Feb 4 - 4 miles -
    Feb 5 - rest
    Feb 6 - 3.3 + strength training
    Feb 7 - 34 mile bike ride

    3 miles with the jogging stroller on Thursday and then 4.5 miles today. I feel bad for those that are dealing with freezing weather right now. It feels like spring in Colorado which is kind of bizarre.

    @mandster - A 5K is 3.1 miles and a marathon is 26.2 miles. The .1s absolutely count; add them up!
    @rebeccawimert - Most of the forums are a train wreck and you weren't missing anything, but here you'll find the best, most supportive, and friendly runners ever! I'm in New England too. NH is no where near as cold as ME, but it is definitely gross out right now. Welcome to the group & you're going to be great at the Boston Marathon!
    @Runningmischka - She is so perfect! I love her tiny nose and open kewpie lips. She almost makes me want another one... almost.
    @skippygirlsmom - Running again!!! Whoohoo!!!

    _Date___ Miles
    Feb 1 ___17.3 __long first run to start February off right
    Feb 2 ___ 3.5 __8°F another snowstorm
    Feb 3 ___ 5.2 __5°F
    Feb 4 ___ 3.1 __24:41 no where near a record but happy with it just the same.
    Feb 5 ___ 1.4 __streak high winds and snow
    Feb 6 ___ 3.1 __
    Feb 7 ___ 6.2 __ snowing again

    Month total= 39.7miles __110.3remaining

    I finally got some mileage in this week. 16 miles. Crazy wind but the rain was nice enough to just drizzle on occasion. It is now blue skies and 60. So much for the crazy storm we were supposed to get!

    Total 30/120 goal

    @skippygirlsmom‌ - :bigsmile:
    @rebeccawimert‌ - welcome! this is a great group of runners at all levels, all very supportive and encouraging
    @_nikkiwolf_‌ - your dark foggy run sounds scary! I would have headed back home!
    @gabbo34‌ - seems like you are getting a heat wave (almost)! After it being so very cold 34 must feel really nice!
    @Lesleycali‌ - are you getting rain? Really hoping it pushes its way down this way!

    No run for me today. Out late last night and I am soo tired. Tomorrow running on the beach with the pup!

    I did a 15k run today ( Pensacoa Double Bridge Run ). I came in 614th out of 2562 runners, and I set a new 10k PR. The weather was great and it's starting to look like my knees are finally getting back to normal. I'm faster now than I've ever been. If feels good to be on the upswing. Around this time last year I injured a knee and wasn't sure I'd be running again. What a difference a year makes!

    02/01/2015 - 9.03 Miles - Cumulative 9.03 Miles
    02/03/2015 - 4.20 Miles - Cumulative 13.23 Miles
    02/05/2015 - 4.22 Miles - Cumulative 17.45 Miles
    02/07/2015 - 9.37 Miles - Cumulative 26.82 Miles

    GOAL: 80 Miles
    ~~No ticker for this post. I have the info stored on my work PC and I'm posting this from home.

    Oh, the streak was an accident, but it was kinda cool while it lasted. I'd never streak in the middle of a training cycle :)

    I would love to join in this challenge, even though a little late. I'm also fairly new to this site.
    Yesterday I did 2.5 miles on the treadmill as i just started the C25K.
    My plan is a 9 week plan, so hopefully I can keep motivated to keep it up.
    So if i work out on the treadmill 5 days a week my miles by the end of the month should be around 30.
    So that will be my goal:)

    2/1 - 6 no running
    2/7 - 2.1 miles
    2/8 - 2.1 completely pain free miles - for the first time in forever

    4.2 miles out of 40

    Thank you all for your support and welcome back posts. I'm so glad I listened to my heart (and head) and went the PT route first instead of combining it with surgery. It'll be a slow road back to the mileage I was at, but I'll get back there. :heart:

    @Runningmischka‌ - she was just over a year old when she was adopted, so she doesn't remember any Russian. I wish they taught it somewhere near us, she would love to learn. She is very proud of her Russian heritage. I loved my time in Russia, amazing people.

    @SonicDeathMonkey80‌ - happy late birthday

    @SLHysell‌ - congrats on the 10K PR

    @Beaches1960‌ @rebeccawimert‌ - welcome we are a great group

    @fabnine - I'm woohooting too :smile: thanks for all your support my friend

    @SonicDeathMonkey80‌ : Wow, that's some climb in the beginning! Are those stairs or an uphill path?

    I totally mis-paced my long run today. Today was really great weather, 40F warm and sunny, and I enthusiastically took of way too fast. I noticed that at the halfway point, where I had to climb a set of stairs (~90 feet altitude in 0.3 miles), ended up walking more than half of those. The rest of the way home was real slow after that...
    It took me 33:30 for the first 5km; then 41:00 minutes for the next 5km. Guess next time I should check my pace a few times during the run!

    1.2.2015 - 9.0 km
    4.2.2015 - 3.8 km
    6.2.2015 - 5.2 km
    7.2.2015 - 3.6 km
    8.2.2015 - 11.4 km
    33 km (of 100 km) done
