thanks... just trying to take the edge of the food/calorie situation.
Ultimately mine meager goals are to do 2 dedicated cardio sessions a week. Anything specific over 15 min like rowing- running- stairmaster- jump rope- etc etc- but I'd like to just get to running- I am not out side as much as I used to be and like I've mentioned- there is something about being OUTSIDE while running that's very refreshing- so I'm trying to make that my goal.0 -

@shanaber : I use a cheap Intova HD Sport: about $150 at Target. It has outworked and outlasted a Pentax, a Lumix, a Gopro and one other.....

@shanaber: great place to run! Especially the middle picture looks like my favourite kind of running trail to me.
@cooter_mom and @JoRocka : thanks for sharing the pictures of your running locations - made me laugh I'm really glad I can run outdoors, though - I've tried running on a threadmill once. Somehow, I always had the thought in my head that I could just step off and be done when I felt like quitting. When I'm on the road, I still have to get back to my place, that increases the motivation to keep going.
For me, it's time to admit I won't be making my goal this month. I've been sick with a cold the entire week. I'm feeling better today, so I'll probably go out for a real short run and see how it goes.0 -
Only three runs left and I will have met my goal! I have been doing interval runs and slowly getting better with the C25k app. Yesterday I did w5d3 and its a 20 min run and I ran it(just under a mile and a half) so happy!! Can't wait to be running 3 miles straight.0

Feb 21 - 5 miles - it was 62 degrees and by the end I was drenched in sweat. Had to walk a little bit at mile 4 and stopped to take these pics.
This is on a trail that I never go on during the week because I have to drive to it and I'd be afraid to run it in the dark. But if I get to run on the weekend, I love to go here. The trail is full of different paintings some guy has done. I only took 3 pics but there are maybe 100 different paintings - everything from Aerosmith to Snoopy. There's one with a lady jogging and it says "no matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everyone on the couch". I wanted to take that one but I must have spaced out when I ran by it.

20 miles today. Felt great and managed to do my las 2 miles faster than the first 18. We soaked in the ocean after which I think helped significantly. No soreness(yet ).
