Too late for a run, but not for a couple of flags :)

why? he's right, for weight loss, exercise isn't necessary.

I think she flagged because I spelled "exercise" wrong.

better get going on that run! lolol ;)

    (i'm just kidding ;) )

I hate running. Hate it so much I just tell myself I don't have time for it.

Yeah, I only didn't hate running for a long enough window to give myself a schwack of tendon problems. But there are other things, I dunno. I like dancing.

Ever seen a white guy dance?

I completely disagree. Exercise is necessary to keep your body functioning properly, increase your metabolism, and, believe it or not, it burns calories!!!

this is true. i also like cardio because i LOVE food

This I do not disagree with but it is not necessary fr weight loss which is the basis for this forum - diet and weight loss.

This is NOT a "diet" or "weight loss" forum. This is a FITNESS forum. If you are using it strictly for diet and weight loss, good for you. But most people are using it to change to a better lifestyle and food choices. And exercise is absolutely essential for prolonged weight loss. People who starve themselves for weeks will lose weight, but gain it back in droves without adding exercise in the mix. You know this. Why are you trying to convince people that exercise is negligible?

I don't think "necessary" means what you think it means.

Exercise has little to do with weight loss. Wrong forum.

I've lost 40 pounds and all I did was start working out every morning. My diet didn't change, so I'm going to disagree with you on this!

Sorry. Just going by the title of the forum. Doesn't seem like that run calmed you down any. Maybe you didn't have time for it.

It's hilly here too. Treadmills aren't hilly unless you want them to be. Today I did a hilly mile of walking my dog and three hilly miles on a treadmill via inclines. I don't run, though, at least not yet. I'll get there one day.

Guys. If you hate running, it's probably not for you. People whose bodies are built for running pretty much know it. They like running.

Badminton and dancing have been discussed, there are many many many other options

Tell that to my peroneal tendon and plantar fascia :/

Seriously, people have different proportions, builds, angles, strengths, weaknesses. No reason to make yourself do something that's hateful, and I think, if you really hate some particular sport*, it's probably because it doesn't make biomechanical sense for you (

*vs. hating all sports, that's different

Exercise is NOT only walking and running! Walking is the easiest for me, but since I went to a WONDERFUL PT for six weeks, I've learned a lot about other exercises as well. Ten minutes at a time six times a day = one hour of exercise!
