CHALLENGE FOR MARCH 2015 -- SAY "NO" TO LATE NIGHT SNACKING

I can do great all day and then when everyone goes to bed and I get to relax, I eat every bit of sugar in the house. Then I'm disgusted with myself. Vicious circle - maybe group support will help0

I love this! Late snacking is a big issue for me. I know I am joining late, but I don't want to wait until April (I am assuming you restart each month? )
Here goes...since the night isn't over yet, I will start with last night...

Hello, everyone! I'm SO sorry I haven't posted in a few days. Been logging, just not posting. Life's been busy, but I'm so glad that everyone is continuing in this challenge! I've surprised myself. As of today, I am 15 days in a row with no late night snacking. I can't believe it, but you are all an encouragement!

My March hasn't been so hot in the late night snacking department but I'm determined to finish the month without giving into the temptation!0 -

At first, I was doing it with sheer grit. I have to say, though, that it is getting easier. Not easy...just easier.

Just found this thread...
What is considered 'late-night'? If immediately after dinner, does that count?
From last night:
Me: 0, LNS: 1
I wonder if the more carb heavy than normal dinner had something to do with it? Anyone figured out what issues make LNS more likely? Versus what makes "Me" more successful?0 -

I think everyone has their own definition. For me, it's eating anything after I leave the dinner table. I can have dessert, but only right after dinner at the table. When I get those after dinner munchies, there is no stopping. And I seem to not be able to control it once I give in. So, for the time being, I have strict boundaries.0 -

I am working on changing my habits. I have been staying out of the kitchen after dinner. Also, avoiding thinking I will have just a few chips.... I know where "a few chips" gets me. Feeling determined to make some positive changes0 -

I am amazed at how well it is working to personify "late night snacking" and treat each evening like a battle. It brings out my competitive side! The only shot "LNS" got in was because I started with the night before I found this thread...brilliant!0 -
