I'm down 2 lbs. then up 2 lbs., then down, then up....all week. What a nightmare! So, I want to ditch the scale and concentrate on my inches. That's also painful and slow. Been working out consistently, eating under my daily calorie goals, obsessing more. LOL. We will get there! Patience is not my virtue!0

Wow, you want a great motivator? I just went through my clothes that have been sitting in my drawers for ages and tried every pair of pants on. Made piles....fat...what I'm wearing now, skinny....my goal pants, and way too skinny.....put away until I can fathom ever wearing them again. How depressing but on the other side, it has brought me to the harsh reality of how much work I have ahead of me. I'm more determined now than ever!!0

Happy Monday to all! Welcome new members. Just remember to report each week how you are doing and share/support all good and bad things.
This weekend I completely forgot to log into MFP so my 90 day streak came to an end. Out of town guest and had a blast though, so I start a new streak today.
Goals this week and weekend:
to continue my running for weightloss app (thanks Jamie @jlkermode ). AND ADD WEIGHT TRAINING two days a week.
This weekend I want to track everything not just some and try to get a good walk in.
I forgot to weigh this morning. So, tomorrow I will do it.
HAVE A GREAT START TO THE WEEK EVERYONE!0 -
Count me in!
I started officially 7 days ago. Lost some water weight immediately.

Happy Monday!
Had a pretty relaxed weekend with my eating- funny how the seeing the sun after such a long time makes you want to eat chicken fingers and drink beer!! Oh well- now that I got that out of my system, I can reboot for the wk!
Goals this wk are to get back to a healthy diet. For the next couple weeks, I'm making a commitment to going low carb and cutting out rice, pasta and bread.
Have a wonderful week!

Me checking in. This week didn't start off too great on 'the food front'. It was my sons birthday on Sunday so there was cake!, and I had a couple of cheat meals the days before that. But I pulled it together Monday and Tuesday and managed to lose a pound this week which I'm very pleased about. Only 4# to goal weight!

I need to get my $h*t together.
I'm being wicked lazy w/ all sorts of excuses: April school vacation, no routine; I'm eating tons of crap.
We're going away this weekend ==> more crappy eating/being lazy.
But I did do Zumba last night; so fun!
I will get it together.
especially w/ such inspirational posts like Steph's.stepherz84 wrote: »Me checking in. This week didn't start off too great on 'the food front'. I have a question about this app: If I don't exercise in a particular day I accumulate "burned calories" for steps throughout the day. However, if I input a particular exercise and burn, say, 200 calories I get no credit for my steps. Does anyone know why?0

@jenibethbu: Just curious...you're in that last 10-15 lb. range--are you finding your weight loss is slowing down at all and you've had to change your methods, or are you "full steam ahead" with the same things you've been doing? Congratulations on a tremendous loss so far and good luck with the rest!0

I have gotten into a pattern of every other month...Nov was slow, but dropped inches, Dec was good weight loss, Jan dropped inches, Feb good weight loss, March dropped inches, April has been good loss...
I am within last 5-7 pounds and feeling like I have found the method that really works for my body! It hasn't been as fast for me as it has for others, but I have really been happy with the changes & the exercise has kept me from the dreaded "loose skin"! It will continue to be a work in progress...

Hi! Are you using a fitbit? I have my fitbit linked to the MFP app and it works by calculating an avg step count throughout the day and giving you calories burned if you keep that average until the end of day. That's why, if you walk a ton in the morning, it will give you an estimated calories burned if you continue that activity through the day. But if you don't have too many steps the rest of the day, it recalculated the actual calories burned. Sometimes I'll have my fitbit steps saying I burned 300 calories, but at night it will recalculate to an actual 150 burned... Does that make sense??0 -
Why not? I'm working on my last 12 pounds anyway!
