How 'bout this?
I request a puppy with a pancake hat. Preferably a dachshund.-1 -
TL:DR
Am I the only one that's considering the timing of said weight loss from McDonald's? Did you eat your McD's meal and step on the scale the next morning, attributing your weight loss to a meal you had the day before?
I weighed self in the morning after the mcdonalds the day before to see the damage done only to find I had lost weight.
I need an MFP veteran to chime in here....
Nobody wants to talk about this? No one?-1 -

You shouldnt be starving yourself to lose weight. Losing weight can be uncomfortable but it shouldnt be dreadful and tedious. The time frame it takes to lose weight healthily is something you just have to deal with and be patient with. Hope this helps.
I'm overeating anyway apparently because the gem lettuce whole for 15 calories is 500 calories apparently and goodness knows what the 3 cherry tomatoes I eat daily amount to in calories a day
Let's be honest. If you were really eating 50 calorie salads all day errrrday, then you would be losing weight.

Mhmm I guess lettuce really is 500 calories ^_^-1 -
I miss the Cheerios thread.-1

Just means I need less calories so maybe a 900 calorie diet will be better for me
I don't think this is going to be your answer.janejellyroll wrote: »janejellyroll wrote: »This is pretty simple - OP is getting confused about timing. Ate McDonald's, then weighed the NEXT DAY and saw a loss. Attributed said loss to the McDonald's eaten the night before.
OP think of it as a weekly tally, not daily. As long as you're within your calories for the WEEK, don't worry about it. It will balance out.

i eat out all the time and lose weight. your point?
well, i dont eat mcdonalds cause gross but whatever. LOL
Fruit and salad made me gain weight. McDonald's made me loose weight. My point being this doesn't make sense
i dont think you understand how this works LOL
OVEREATING fruit and salad made you gain weight.
eating below your maintenance (whether its mcdonalds or broccoli) results in weight loss
I'm not overeating fruit and salad.... unless the salad I'm buying is being pumped with calories... unless 2 satsumas and 10 grapes is overeating fruit...
Okay, so what are you saying? That your body somehow reserve burns calories?
Can you summarize what your actual argument is?
I was just confused why I lost weight eating junk food after weeks of eating salad and fruit. But I must be overeating so I'm going to go on a 900 calorie diet instead so it doesn't matter now
Since you have stated you don't weigh your food, reducing your calorie goal is premature.

This isn't a dachshund, but surprisingly, there aren't a lot of choices of pictures of pancakes on dogs' heads.
That dog gets a lot of food put on its head.

Maybe you should just eat 1300 calories and have a hamburger every day then.

I agree
OP seems to know it all better than the majority here who lost weight just fine by weighing their food and stick to their calorie allowance.
We will see her back soon enough....next topic in line will be...

I always wonder how they get the cats to sit still for these pics. Seriously, if I came at my cat with anything to put on his head, I'd pull back a bloody stump where my hand should be.-1 -

LOL! Yeah, my cat wouldn't stand for any of that. Sometimes I'm tempted to buy a little something for him to wear, but the one time I bought him a hat, I couldn't even get him to stay still long enough to put it on him. Then the hat disappeared. I think he ate it.-1 -

Dogs are like vacuums. They won't *not* eat the pancakes long enough for you to take the shot. The cats don't actually want the pancakes and are just planning to pee in your shoes later.-1 -

I have two cats. My husband is the only thing stopping me from having 11 cats.
I must find a way to live vicariously through you....-1 -
We just got our second cat. I need 18 more.-1

OP, I really don't see the problem here---just eat McDonalds and lose weight. If that's what works for you. Best of luck, by the way.-1

its mostly a certainty.....
i think my dog ate his brush (and hes a mini schnauzer so he NEEDS to be brushed out often) and sometimes some of his clothes disappear randomly.
I only have suspicions, but...... pretty much a certainty.... LOLOLOL-1
