I was completely shocked when I weighed cheese for the first time and realised that so little adds up to so much. I was eating one heck of a lot of cheese and had no idea that it was as calorific as it was. I try not to snack on it as much now as I would rather eat a bigger portion of something else for the same calories. If I have it I have a little in a salad or something. When I can get a grip on my eating and my weight is significantly less than now, then I might budget a little more for it. Right now, it doesn't give me enough bang for my calorie buck.0

I was simply pointing out that when OP says "she avoids processed cheese" she is not, because she eats cheese, which is processed.

Cheese is my second-favorite food. I have some every single day. Heavily processed or basically rotten milk, bright orange or soft white, I do not care at all.0

Moderation for me, because of diabetes (it causes sugar spikes). I love me some cheese though, just about any kind, I will eat several ounces of port salute as a snack if left for my own devices.0

Well, your profile pic is of two women, and your profile is completely hidden, so I don't think you can blame anyone for that assumption.
Also, you weren't particularly clear in your original post. Basically you just asked for people's 'thoughts about cheese in the diet', and never replied when asked what these 'mixed reviews' were. So people replied, 'yes, eat the cheese'. We gave you lots of thoughts about cheese. Question answered.0 -
ThThe questions about pasteurized processed cheese food product have been answered. If the answers are ignored, that is not the problem of those who provided them. Some of us do not LIKE that stuff. Therefore we are not going to eat it.
all cheese is processed so you are eating processed cheese. To say anything else is just a ridiculous statement…

The term "processed cheese" is defined in the random house dictionary as: A mass produced product made of one or more types of cheese that have been heated and mixed with emulsifiers, colorings flavorings etc primarily to retard spoilage and enhance spreadability at reduced cost. Since the term means something I think it is fine to use and the OP has my blessings to not like it.
I personally enjoy both traditional and processed cheeses regularly.0
