Right now my goal is 80% fat 15% protein 5% carbs, not sure where I got that info from(reading or watching Stephanie Persons YouTube) l am losing weight but yesterday I was reading on FB other people do way more protein. I do usually go over the15% protein (usually 18 - 20) and usually a little under on my fat. Confused
Upped my protein to 20% and I definitely feel better....Tks!0 -

I enjoy fritattas..which is more egg. I breathe i'm hungry dot com has one with spinach, sausage, and feta that is really good..even reheated. There are keto pancake recipes out there. I also like oopsie bread with a sausage patty and cheese. Chia pudding is another..and it's prepared the night before. I have to throw the chia seeds into a processor first. I like the texture of the pudding better that way. It's more smooth less goopy. I'll have a quest bar with coffee and heavy cream if I don't have time for anything else.
You also don't have to eat traditional breakfast foods for breakfast.0 -

Add me! Add me! I'm relatively new to the keto lifestyle but am reading lots of good stuff about the practice, have started on it and it's done some good for me. I would LOVE to have more Ketogenic friends to share stories and get support for because I still have lots of questions.0

Hi, I started eating LCHF 5 days ago, going well so far on 5% carbs, 20% protein & 75% fat. I end up eating around 1500-1600 cals a day. I bought myself one of those Ketonix breath analysers and it has been in the orange for most of the time which means I have a moderate level of acetone in the breath (good sign). My question is around exercise... I'm really not a fan at this stage. I don't mind walking on the treadmill while I watch a show or taking the dog out for a quick walk but I'm not into the Gym and lifting weights etc. Are there many of you that have had big losses and not really incorporated much exercise into your daily routines? I know it sounds lazy of me but I just want to know what's the bare minimum I have to do to still have a big weight loss? I have about 100 pounds to lose. I'm happy to do more as I go on.. I'm just trying to adjust to this lifestyle in baby-steps rather than overhauling everything at once.0

I usually walk the dog and I have just started doing Insanity but I lost about 30 pounds doing Keto with minimal exercise.0

thank you! That's encouraging, I plan to do more as I go along and I'm sure I'll want to by then. cheers0

I agree with sarahbear. Zero exercise is necessary to lose weight. Exercise IS good for physical fitness and overall health though. I didn't exercise at all the first week, then started small by taking a walk or doing a walk-at-home video about 3 or 4 times a week. Over time, I felt a lot more like moving. Now it's almost a year later, 88lb down, and I lift 2 days a week and walk for an hour 5 days a week, sometimes more. For now, just move some, and as you lose weight, get stronger, and gain energy, you can slowly ramp it up as you go. No need to rush into the gym.0 -

I've been eating LCHF since November. I lost 20 pounds in the first two months. I'm going a bit slower now, partly from having a more sedentary job now and not being able to work out during the harshest winter months, but I am still losing about 5# a month even with falling off the wagon a few times. ~50g net works fine for me.0

I've been keeping my carbs about 10-20 grams per day. Lost 7 pounds in 2 weeks. Love lchf! Congrats on your weight loss!0

I've been eating not particularly strict LCHF (under 100 g protein, around 80 net carbs, unrestricted calorie so the rest is fat) for 2 years and I've lost 35 lbs of the probably 70 that I should lose. I've been on a plateau so I'm working to keep my net carbs under 50 consistently to start losing again. I thought I was done with keto flu, but in the last week where I've been doing better at keeping my carbs down I've needed to add salted broth and olives to my diet to avoid feeling woozy. Anyway, I've been very happy with LCHF - I eat lots of different foods that I like, I've found socializing and eating in restaurants manageable, and obviously losing 35 lbs has been very exciting.
Regarding non-egg breakfasts, I made this http://www.ditchthecarbs.com/2014/06/17/grain-free-granola/ to eat with creme fraiche and maybe a few berries today. I added some stevia drops to sweeten it, but otherwise followed the recipe and it is delicious.0 -
I've been doing Keto since April 6th and have lost 23 lbs! I'm seriously in love with new lifestyle and look forward to jumping on the scale!0

Feel free to add me! I've been doing lchf since April 28th and lost 13lbs. I'm not as strict as I want to be. But I'm definitely liking this lifestyle a lot better. And I'm trying to convince my husband to do it with me. I've just started adding a little exercise. Only because I have gained so much weight it's put a strain on my asthma. But I do enough until I get to that point where my breath is hard to catch. I'm more excited to get on the scale for sure!0

Hi Mallory my name is Paula, this is the middle of week 2 for me on the lchf and I'm just getting over the carb and sugar cravings, they have just eased.... thank god lol. Bread is absolutely my favourite thing so it was very hard to give it away I have lost 3kg in just under 8 days (starting at 92kg now at 89kg). My goal weight is 60kg as you can see I have a fair way to go, but I'm confident I can do it this time anyway got to go talk really soon bye for now0

I'd love to have some new friends who share their diaries. I really need to get some new food ideas.0 -
