Not really what you are asking, but I said no to my ex. A**hole asked me out to dinner. I think NOT. Besides, I gained nearly 80 pounds when I was with him. Sooo not good for me.

Have the weight off, and not going down that street again!

This DEFINITELY qualifies, in my opinion at least! (Not that you need my validation!) But part of this journey is not engaging in self-destructive behaviors. Hanging out with toxic exes, to me, is self-destructive.

So - good for you for saying no!!

Definitely qualifies! As jmruef mentioned, you are saying no to a JUNK part of your life and that's what matters! :) Good job!!!!

I said no to some thai green curry I made and then decided I didn't want, and to chocolate this evening, but then I caved and had it anyway. I don't actually like chocolate, but I wanted sugar, which I know is BAAAAAAAD. I stayed within my daily limit, though, and it was 70% cocoa stuff.

For the 4th consecutive day I've said no to the delicious looking cookie on my desk. A shortbread cookie 1/2 dipped in dark chocolate, individually wrapped from the Honolulu Cookie Company.

When I take my Mom shopping, she always wants to go out to eat too. At the food court at the mall I chose a junior whopper without mayo. This is the first time I tried it this way, and suprisingly enough it tasted just as good. I drank icewater with it. I thought about a side salad, but I don't like the lowfat dressings at fast food places, and I knew the full fat ranch would not be a good idea. So I waiting until I got home and had my salad with Marzetti lowfat ranch.

Also, we stopped to get my daughter a cupcake, and I ordered nothing. Although, if it was Saturday, I am sure I could not have resisted the canolli. They only have it on Saturdays.

I feel the same way on Friday's. I usually am not interested in cooking after a long week. Today I said no to a fruit smoothie. I love love them, but they pack 300-500 calories each. ugh! I will just make one at home so I can control the portion size. But maybe tomorrow.

Today we had a little party for one of the girls at work filled with pizza and pie and pasta salad... and I said no and went to Subway for my usual chicken salad sub with tons of fresh veggies and apples!!!! It wasn't easy, but I had a horrible school event dinner last night and just couldn't think about the greasy pizza and breadsticks!!! Such a victory.. even six months ago I would have chowed down four pieces of pizza and some pie!!!!!

I said no to hopping in my car after lunch to go to Trader Joe's for a random chocolate treat. Never a good idea for me to be spontaneous when it comes to food.

I said No to the entire "snack" counter at work that happens on Fridays. Every Friday, a different person brings in snacks for the staff. There was chocolate cake, wraps, crackers, bananas, oranges, and chips. i didnt' touch a thing.
  • I said no to the same pack of Oreos sitting in my pantry I've been saying no to for three days. Each day my willpower over those damned little cookies gets stronger ha!

Was out with my girlfriends from happy hour through 1 am. Passed up beer, nachos, beer, potato skins, beer, toasted raviolis, beer, cheese sticks, beer, pizza, beer, vodka. (Sensing a theme here??) Even stopped home really quick between bars to grab a healthy dinner!!! My water with a lemon twist was simply divine all night!!!

I said NO to McDonalds at 10pm last night when my husband wanted it. The biggest motivation was thinking about a program that was on television recently where a severly obese man had a trainer working with him every day to get fit, it turned out that this man had a severe eating disorder of going and pigging out on fast food like McDonalds all the time and after the trainer had worked with this man for 2 months - it didn't get anywhere because of the eating disorder so he needed to go into a food rehab.
So I figured if we are going to get anywhere with this weight loss we cannot go out at 10pm (which is a few hours after already eating dinner) and buy McDonalds!
  • I said "No" to going to work. And believe you me, I needed it! Instead I slept in and went hiking.
Before anyone judges I got told I'm being laid off yesterday and they said I could take a personal day today if I needed it, their idea, not mine.
