I didn't have time to report back here, but I sure took the time to run! I passed the 25 miles mark for May on yesterday's run, crushing my 23 miles objective. I guess I'll see you all next month with a higher goal!

Or.... you could just stick around and keep on running...

Maybe go for 50 for the month!

200 mile goal will be shattered this month with mileage ramp up and back-to-back races on Memorial Day.

@CodeMonkey78 Are you doing both the 5K and 10K? Or is there another race going on after CRR?

Both the 10k and the 5k.

I did them both last year, but at least this time it will not be three days after oral surgery!

What you are not running the 1 mile fun run after the 5K?

I'd love to, but my legs will be fried after both races

@CodeMonkey78 @skippygirlsmom We should meet before hand for a photo-op.

Well, the flu has taken me out since Saturday night. I'm finally back to work today, but I don't think I'm strong enough yet for a run :s.

Thank you @Stoshew71 - I will dedicate some time to those articles. I really appreciate your help!
I want to welcome @emmy15rocks - your goal is a great one and it will slowly build each month. The most important thing is that you don't give up. It may take time, but it will be worth it! It took me 4 months to finally reach one of my goals, so I'm happy to see you were more realistic than I was. Keep with it; soon you'll be all crazy addicted to running like me, adopting giant puppies to be your trail running partner, and place more value on a new pair of shoes than any movie/dinner date for your Birthday ;).
@LoneWolfRunner that is the coolest designed medal I've seen yet - seriously you have my props for that crazy distance! Now I have bling envy...
@Pandora_and_her_box I'm in the same boat now; it would take a serious miracle for me to reach my May goal with all the down time I've had. Oh well, there's always June, right???
@skippygirlsmom I love Skip's medal! She is seriously one bada$$ little chica!
@kristinegift I'm so glad you were able to find the source of your calf problems. Were it not for the financial gain of returning them, I'd have burned those shoes & done a wild tribal celebratory dance around the fire, LOL. And BIG congrats on your 20 miler!!!
@tdbernrd, your first long run is awesome! Nothing gives me a bigger high than breaking a personal distance record.
@80Ben & @Isabelle You guys rocked your goals! Color me green...LOL...
@WhatMeRunning I hope you keep us updated on how your training goes throughout the summer, as I'm sorta in the same situation, and looking at my 1st half marathon in October, but really just curb-kickin' the idea right now, waiting for my goals to magically meet themselves :D.
@isulo_kura My fiance's back problems respond the same way to running; he's WAY better off if he runs...
@shanaber her name is Lola, and yes, she will be my running partner. She was being trained for mountain search & rescue, and already had her endurance built up to 4 miles on soft mountain trails, so I'm slowly adding to that distance, but since she's only 6 months old the vet says I have to start her on a half mile of pavement, then slowly build up to 1 mile max of pavement until she's a year old for proper skeletal development. Long story short, I get to spend a lot more time on mountain trails now, MY FAVE! WOOT! I'll have to post our first trail selfie; it's hilarious.
@SonicDeathMonkey80 first of all, I think that is so cool of you to be a pacer. I didn't know any such thing existed in marathons; what a great way to help others! I am afraid that if I do my first half marathon this October, a full may be on the not too distant horizon...SOMEBODY STOP ME! PLEASE!! About my PR question, my current 12k race pace was 9:23 per mile, I am 38 and weigh 147 lbs. I just started running last December, but was not able to do it with any consistency until March 2015. I am currently injury free, but was taken out for 2 years prior to December with a neck problem. I feel good now. My mileage history goes as follows: Dec: 13.5; Jan: 27.46; Feb: 19.4; Mar: 40.49; Apr: 84.17. I tend to stick to dirt trail or grass when I'm running, so when I did my pavement 12k it was amazing how much faster I went than my typical training pace of 10:00 - 10:30 avg. per mile. Is this enough info? Anything else you need to know to give an opinion? I'd really like to run that same 12k next May with 8:00 miles instead of 9:23. Does this sound like a realistic goal or am I just shooting for the moon here? I chronically set goals too high in all areas of my life, LOL.

RE: PR goals next year -- I think you can get pretty darn close. Maybe 8:30s, conservatively estimating, but 8:00s are in your reach certainly! Just keep building your mileage and you'll see your speed increase, and then next spring you could do some concentrated speed work to edge closer to that 8:00 goal. Last April I was running 7-8 mile runs at a 9:15-9:30 pace (or slower on hot days) and now I can run them comfortably at an 8:20-8:30 pace, and I'm sure if I raced it I could get close to 8:00, so I think it's definitely realistic!

I hope you feel better soon!
