hydromassage. LOL! After all that back-breaking effort a little reward is merited. Honestly, Sunday should have "pray for fitness", which I think is likely to be more effective than the wussy "program" .
I almost spit my water all over my computer screen. "Pray for fitness." Ha!

The sad thing is, until someone else mentioned it I didn't even realize which business this was. I guess I'm uneducated about the gym industry. I think I'd like to keep it that way.

Still perplexed about how tanning = fitness. LOL

Secondly, why would anyone pay for a membership and drive to work out to do 10 pushups? Insanity.

I don't know, but if you are a complete fitness neophyte -- and by that I mean you are a person who finds it difficult to work the remote without being winded -- that might get you started for a few weeks.

    Long term no, but something.

Any plan of theirs that neglects their free pizza needs to be disregarded completely.

The first and last time I went to a planet fitness, people were eating their free pizza while walking on the treadmill.

Some activity is better than none.

I don't entirely agree with you folks. It's true that SOME activity is better than nothing. The problem is that PF actually recommends this level of activity, and that's a huge problem... especially for beginners. Plans like these do next to nothing and they provide completely unrealistic expectations of what needs to be done. That's ultimately more harmful than helpful.

A lot of people say, "Planet Fitness is great if you're a beginner," but I've always disagreed. Beginners don't just need equipment. They also need information and guidance, especially in today's society where the average American has very little practical knowledge when it comes to exercise.

Amazingly, I've seen a lot of people defend these plans on the Planet Fitness Facebook page. 'It's a good start if you're a newbie!" they say. Um, no. Even an absolute noob should be able to do a lot more than this.

BTW, please note that they don't even advertise these as beginner routines. They simply present them as sensible fitness plans, period. It's mind-boggling that people actually buy into this.

To be fair, I wouldn't label them as beginner plans either --- but only because even an absolute beginner should be able to do much more than these.

    That's a crazy plan.

I go to planet fitness, got this bod at planet fitness using my own plan. I'll leave planet fitness when they kick me out (I go at 5 am so no one notices) or when I out grow the equipment. Which ever comes first.

It works for an educated beginner.

The jokes make me laugh tho.

Here's yet another one of their plans.

Please take a look at the comments section. It's amazing to see how PF-lovers defend these "plans." Come on, folks. How misinformed do you have to be to think that these are sensible ways to get in shape?

The fact that they have banned deadlifts disqualifies them as a gym. imo

This is why I will never join a PF if if they are cheaper.
