August Exercise Challenge

Our July exercise challenge was a great success. I challenged everyone to complete 1,000 minutes of exercise for the month. Some even surpassed that goal by completing over 2,000! Great job!

The goal here is simple: get moving. It doesn't matter when or how, just get moving.

Challenge:
1) Set a goal for yourself of how many minutes of exercise you wish to complete this month. Minimum bid is 1,000 minutes (that's about a half an hour per day this month).
2) Post your goal here.
3) Log in and post your progress as much or as little as you wish. You can post every day, every few days, or once a week.
4) Encourage your fellow participants.

My name is Amy and I am committing to 1,500 minutes of exercise this month!

Howdy all. I'm Varla. I hit 2000 minutes last month with 1 week holiday and 1 week injury. This month in pushing hard for a fencing competition on 23 August so I'm aiming for 3000.

    Sat 1 - 62 minutes walking

    Total: 62/3000 (2938 to go)

I'm Steve and after hitting over 2000 in July I'd love to equal it but I will set the goal at 1500. I always recommend you set what you think are attainable goals instead of super high goals. Mentally it's much better for you to hit goals than fall short and get discouraged. So start off slow. 1000 is a great target for the beginners. I've been fighting with injuries and taking a rest day a couples times a month but will not let it keep me down.
Good luck to all who take the challenge.
