I gave up soda many years ago and I only drink diet sprite on a plane trip. I do drink seltzer.
I very rarely have fried foods.
Never eat transfat unless it's already in my steak or something.
Rarely eat cream sauces.
No bottled dressings.
That's about it.0 -
Soda0

All soda. All white sugar. Most fast food. White flour. 5 days out of the week I skip dairy and gluten.0

Dunkin donuts has a happy hour everyday where you can get a large iced coffe for .99 cents. I went there everyday for a year. That was 300-400 calories a day just in that one coffee. I haven't had one in a month and I don't miss it. It was truly just an addiction.0

I no longer eat (or drink):
Peanut butter by the spoonful
Desserts that aren't "worth it"
Large hunks of crusty sourdough bread mindlessly, with or without cheese or peanut butter (miss this most!)
Milk (doesn't make my stomach feel very good)
More than 1 glass of wine a couple times per week (always leads to bad food choices or extra portions)

Brownies. Oh wait... Nope I still eat those. (Just less.)0

I laughed WAAAAYYYYY to hard at this0 -
I'm wracking my brain and coming up blank. I still eat everything just... less of it0

I still eat everything, but in vastly different quantities
Soda: 3 times a day --> once a month
Potato chips: daily --> once a month (or even less)
Fastfood: weekly --> can't remember the last time, but never say never LOL
I do have a treat every day, but a very small once and I make sure they fit within my goals for that day

All dairy
Legumes
Most nuts
Sesame seeds
Potatoes, Eggplant, processed tomatos
Yeast Breads
Pasta
Sodas
I did an elimination diet and found out that I am allergic to dairy and most nuts. Legumes, nightshades, and sesame seeds set off joint pain for me.0 -

I cut out gluten a few years ago to stop the pain in my knees (which it did). So, no, bread, cakes, cookies, pizza and on an on. I still managed to gain weight though. I'm now calorie counting so am just limiting the unhealthy foods so my calories can most come from healthy ones.0

Panda Express and In-N-Out. I haven't had any since I moved back home a while ago, and I'm never going back. They were the cause of my 25lb weight gain.0

Cutting down better than out.less chocolate for me.0

Eating as much as I want of anything. Unless I have measured it I try to avoid it0

Pork meat!
I still love spareribs but now i choose the chicken ribs instead0 -
I have given up eating calories above my maintenance level.
Otherwise, I still enjoy all the foods I did before I lost weight, just in smaller portions or less often.
Some of the restriction/elimination in this thread (other than those for medical reasons) make me really sad.0 -
I actually didn't try to give anything up. I went into this with the mindset of a lifestyle change instead of a diet. The first thing I did was cut out soda for a month though, because I knew that was where the majority of my calories come from. I unintentionally kept it out of my diet completely for almost 4 months. I went to get an oil change and stopped to grab a drink. The machines only had soda, so I got a Sierra Mist, remembering that that was one of my favorite "light tasting" sodas. I took one sip and set it aside the trash cans so that if someone else wanted it, they wouldn't have to dig through the can to grab it (lots of homeless in the area). It burned the inside of my mouth and it was disgustingly sweet. No plans to drink soda after that, since that was gross.0

Soda, white bread, white pasta.
Soda wasn't much of a hardship since I rarely drank it, but sometimes I'm in the mood for something fizzy and I'll drink seltzer water (i'm super picky about that, though). As for white bread/pasta, I just replaced them with whole grain bread/pasta. I'm still working on rice.
That's it, really. I've severely cut down on chips and candy, but I still occassionaly have both, just in small quantities. I also choose healthier options when I can (i.e., dark chocolate, frozen yogurt, unsalted/unbuttered popcorn, etc).

Eating as much as I want of anything. Unless I have measured it I try to avoid it
I'm new to posting on here and my full messages are not posting. I meant that whatever I eat I always measure I definitely do not eat as much as I want. I am noticing that processed foods are something I do not gravitate towards anymore especially given how small the portion sizes tend to be for a lot of them. If I need something sweet fruit is my go to now. Protein has also become my best friend.

I haven't given up anything except for fast food. I didn't eat it too often to begin with, but since I started a mostly whole foods diet, I (literally) can't stomach it any more.0

I don't restrict anything but I do portion control everything now. For example: I have a small strawberry Dairy Queen blizzard that I have taken three days to eat and it still isn't done. I eat a couple bites and pop it back in the freezer when I'm done.
I don't eat chocolate, most candy, coffee, or pop/soda by preference. These things are just not a problem for me and never really have been.0 -
I haven't eating regular pasta or any white bread in 2 months0

Cliff bars
Milk
Red meat0
