No. I see a hip specialist today. Maybe he can point me in the right direction. Last doc just did an MRI, said its nothing. I'm dealing with the top of the class here.... :( I'm a bit concerned about CECS.

Thanks for the reply. I'll note PVD and check into it.

    8/2 - 3.2 miles
8/3 - 5.5 miles 1st day of school here, can't believe my baby is a Sophomore!
    8/4 - 3.2 miles
    8/5 - rest day
8/6 - 1.8 miles ending up not getting back out last night - had to bring work home with me and worked until 9:30
8/7 - 4.4 miles in the fog  5K Run to the Rescue with Skip and some of her teammates tomorrow.
8/8 - 3.1 Run to the Rescue 5K today. Skip and I ran, it was trail for almost 2 miles (I've never run off the road) then onto the road, then onto parking lot gravel (ugh) then back to and finish on grass. We don't have official times, I was I did a 9:43 pace just over 30 min so not near a PR, Skip said she was about 23:49 not near her PR either. I thought it was a tough course, a few hills. The trail was hard for me very rooty and uneven, but it was a lot of fun. I finished 3rd in my AG and she finished 1st in her AG.
    8/9 - 9.3 miles
    8/10 - 3.5 miles of recovery - it's my birthday it's my birthday!! :sunglasses:

8/16 - 8.6 miles - longest run ever for Skip - so proud of her
8/17 - 3.5 miles of leisurely run in the rain

@mwyvr sorry about the kidney stones, I think they are God's way of letting men know what childbirth is all about  I hope they pass soon
@7lenny7 wow on the pictures, I would love to run somewhere like that so pretty.
@_nikkiwolf_ the flowers are beautiful, but I'm with you, if they are overpowering you can't breath and you get that "taste" of the flower in your mouth yuck!
@jorocka I see those microfiber undies all the time and I wonder if I'd like them. I'll have to try a pair out.
@shanaber try googling "running groups" and where you live, I was amazed at all I found in El Paso
@elise4270 I'm so sorry you are having these health problems hugs
    @ctdebbie welcome to the group!!
@stoshew71 I'm amazed at how much your mileage and speed has increased over the last year, it's wild. I think I get so used to see your high numbers that I find I don't comment on them, but I do always read them and think holy crap.
@juliet3455 wow fall colors in August. I don't know if I could get used to that.

My July goal was 30 miles and I hit that. I think I will shoot for 35 for August.

8/2 - 3.5mi. PR for distance Woohoo! According to my GPS I went 3.5 but according to the trail map I did 3.7 miles. I am going with my GPS since I always use the same one when I run so any errors should be consistent. Walking up to get ice cream with son and dog later so that will be another 3 miles but I will not include it in my monthly total.
8/4 - 3.6mi. Another PR! I went for a run on my break at work because I was falling asleep at my desk, don't tell the boss, and I ended up completing the run in 50 minutes which is what it took me to run 5k last month in the heat and humidity. I learned that my ideal pace right now is about a 13 minute pace so I was able to cut out most of the walk breaks except for walking up the big hill at the end of trail. (Why is there always a big hill at the end of a run?)
8/6 - 3.5mi. Got up at 6:30am on my day off for a beautiful cool morning run with Neeko. Kept my average pace at 13:14 which seems to be ideal for me but I will admit my legs were tired when I was done. That hasn't happened in a while but it was a great feeling.
8/8 - 2mi. Over did it on strength training yesterday and pushed myself to do 3 reps of 12 leg presses at 210 lbs so my legs were dead today. Even Neeko was confused when I turned around early LOL. I think I am going to try again tomorrow depending on how crazy work is and I am not sure if I want to push for 4 miles since I just stepped up to 3.5 last week. I guess I will see how I feel.
8/10 - 1.5mi. Well yesterday didn't happen, work was insane and today it started raining and thundering when I started. Neeko and I kept going until we saw lighting but got in a fast comfortable mile and a half. No running tomorrow, I have a session with my trainer so I will try again on Wednesday for 4 miles.
8/12 - 3.5 mi at the crack of dawn today.
8/14 - 4.0 mi. Broke thru my glass ceiling this morning and finally made 4 miles! Woohoo! I can't believe how much my running has improved since the temperature and humidity have gone down. A few months ago I could barely make 3 miles in what it took me to run 4 today and I felt good at the end.
8/17 - 3.0 mi Was going for 4 miles but the heat and humidity returned with a vengeance. My 3 included more walking then I wanted as it was.

    Completed : 24.6 mi
    To go : 10.4

@briebee7 - Congratulations on the PR!! It sounds like and awesome fun race!
@shell1005 - 10 miles is an excellent long run! Great job!!
@juliet3455 - Were are you located? Honestly I would much rather run in the cold with the proper clothing than run in the heat. 54F is just about perfect running temperature!
@7lenny7 - Love the pictures! I am envious of the lovely urban/suburban trails! I have not found anything like that here other than my short 3 mile loop along the river and it is not nearly as scenic.
@kristinegift - You would think that there would be lots of local running stores in So California... unfortunately the closest one is not close. I have been considering going there to check out their evening 'event' runs. I keep hoping they will have one on the weekend because during the week it would take me a couple of hours with traffic.
@mwyvr - Take care of yourself and your constellation! I am still having the pain in my side and have an appointment with the doctor Thursday morning. I am hoping it is something simple like a UTI and not stones of any kind! It still feels like a pulled muscle but that wouldn't stay this sore for over a week.
@Elise4270 - I hope your doctor had more answers today and can get to the root of the problem!
@Stoshew71 - I think you will be amazing at the marathon at the rate you are going now!
@skippygirlsmom - I will google running groups - great idea! Also that was a fantastic run for Skip on Sunday!

We did go to the dog beach on Sunday and I ran about 2+ miles. It was beautiful and still in the low 70s. We didn't stay too long as it was getting pretty warm there and the pup was wearing out, I suspect he ran at least 6 miles at full tilt chasing other pups and his toy. We also send him back and forth between my husband and me - I run, he walks and the dog runs back and forth... great to wear everyone out! Now Hobbes the Vizsla is supposed to be a water dog, but he isn't much interested in the water... this was the most he has gone in the water ever - I think it just felt so good!
    https://youtu.be/2Z3mPg6e6aw

I also ran today, actually got up early and out before it got too warm (was mid 70's, 80 when I got home). I planned to go 5-6 and was feeling so great went 7. I just wanted to keep going but it was getting too warm and I didn't want a repeat of Saturday. I am taking 2 rest days (Tues/Thurs) for doctor appointments but hopefully I can make up the distance by running early and longer on the other days.

In Northern Alberta, Canada. The Town of Peace River, about a 5 hr drive North of Edmonton.
I prefer running in colder temps. Heck you can only take off so many clothes before you cause traffic accidents or get arrested. Not to mention the dehydration cramps that are muscle destroyers.

Great idea - They also have this product called Moleskin that comes in sheets 2x4 in and you cut off what ever size you need/prefer. I use it in my Hiking Boots for Backpacking to prevent heel and little toe blisters. It should work for Nipple Chafing. You could put a piece on the inside of your shirt and one on the "Sensitive Area" for extra protection.

3 miles tonight. That makes a total of 25.25 out of a 40 mile goal. Been spending more time running outside and less on the treadmill, so fewer longer runs, as I get more acclimated to running in the real world. :)

The antibiotics for the dog bite wiped me out, along with my stomach, so I didn't do much running last week. Should be able to catch up in the less humid weather now that I'm back up north as I put in a comfortable 7 miles today in the 90 degree heat as I found a nice shaded trail and the humidity was tolerable.

    8/1 - 3 miles
    8/2 - 6 miles
    8/4 - 12 miles
