I have two daughters who both wear size 10/12 clothes (one tall and skinny, 13, the other short and chunky, 10). I was folding clothes and had a size 11 pair of pants and was trying to decide which daughter they went to. I thought, not DD13, she only wears skinny jeans, but not DD10, either, they're way too long for her. Then I realized they were MINE!! I argued with myself for awhile ("these can't be mine, there's no way I could fit my butt in these") before I decided they really were mine. Such a great feeling!1

I just hung up the washing and realised I have worn sneaker socks every day for the last 5 days. Which means 5 days walking in a row. Go me!1

This weekend, even with a bad cough, I managed to go on a really long hike with my friend. I was so happy to get out, do some exercise and enjoy sunshine for the first time in ages. You are all so inspiring to me!0

I added 20 sit ups with a 4kg medicine ball to my weights workout. I held a plank for just over 1 minute. Starting to believe that there is hope for my poor worn out back & stomach that suffered from having big kids.2

Yesterday is one of the few days I have gone waaaaaay over my calorie goals since I started MFP in mid-April. I took an unplanned road trip to take a friend to the airport when his ride didn't show up at 5:45 a.m. Since I was there (it's an hour away), I decided to take the scenic route back, and was gone for 12 hours, so I couldn't stick to my usual menu. Two stops at Dunkin Donuts for breakfast and lunch, and then Wendy's for dinner, put me at 1500 calories over my usual (mostly from those dastardly mocha iced coffees to keep me alert on the road).
And here I am today, not feeling the least bit guilty, accepting I had an off day (but a really nice one), and am already completely back on track. I'm not beating myself up, I don't feel defeated, and I don't even feel a sense of "now I have to really work extra hard" - I'm just sliding right back into this new lifestyle. Apparently, this old dog (59) can learn new tricks.7
